I have to hand it to the guy, that little dramatization with the ghost and all was quite funny. Of course, as delusIonal as the as the rest of his way of looking at our way of life.

There are so many things wrong with his speech that in my opinion, this transformed into good advertising for Skittles. Any leader that kills somebody like this is doing at least a few things right.

I also cannot imagine how Lowenthal could have thought that letting us know he earned thousands was a good thing for him.

Then, how can a thug threaten a whole family? He may disrespect, mouth off, etc... but to "threaten"? That means he has no idea of the power of the upper structure of any family.

Loyalty, also, in my opinion, includes not questioning the way the family works. Chr1st1an has already clearly pointed out the lact of respect shown for the chain of command here.

I'm also curious about the "envious tyrant" comment. What is there to be envious about. Was Racinelli successful at anything, even defending the family? Ah, yes! That reminds me, I was going to say that part of the dramatization was actually hilarious "eating this dinner after being saved by..."

Saved???

Anyway, going back. Did Racinelli kill anybody or did something useful? Of course not.

And then again, he seems to think Skittles is the Godfather, unless he also managed to insult Sidious along with Skittles.

The disposition and appearance of your Family...

New Gangsters on the street, we've established that it's important to be careful which family you choose, that you could end up with a Rat family that has petty internal differences and treacherous backstabbing within its ranks. But how do you tell before actually joining? What are some of the signs to look for? Good question... the first indicator in a situation like this is always appearances. How does the family uphold itself? Do they dress, talk, and act like a professional family? Or are they street trash thugs with suits on, pretending to be Dons? Are they wise? Can they communicate professionally, or are they ghetto blasters, saying things like "phat", and attempting to be rappers like this note from -Skittles- below

Do you want leaders that might take personal offense to you standing up for the family, sending you bad rap poetry after they kill you? Or do you want strong leaders that have a higher vision, professionals with no time to waste on petty issues, and will promote you for your hard work? The choice is yours young gangster... but just ask yourself before joining -Skittles- family, is this how you want to be spoken to?

To be honest I think this entire spectacle should just be dropped.  Racinelli wasn't the brave, loyal soldato his son has painted him out to be.  If he was, he wouldn't have asked one of the Detroit leaders to join their family in order to leave -Skittles-, shortly before his death.  Sounds like he was attempting to protect himself from whatever situation he had drummed up, rather than attempting to protect the family.

Smooth.

For the second time this week, Rourke was driving the ambulance for the local hospital. After receiving a call, he quickly sped to the streets in the middle of a conversation to take Lowenthal back to the burn ward. Rourke grabbed the man and shook him by the collar:

Don't worry, friend. I'm escorting you posthaste to the burn ward. That looks like a massive burn you just suffered.

Rourke strapped down Lowenthal and sped away.

I was walking down the street when I turned a corner onto bitter street and an ambulance came thundering down the road and nearly run me over. Annoyed, I turned and unholstered my gun in one swift motion, only to see a burned up thug screaming in the back window.

"Ouch!"

I placed my gun back in it's holster, poor fellow looks like he's been burned pretty bad.

Lowenthal doesn't care... already marked for dead from the caniving rat -Skittles-, as if shooting his honorable father Racinelli in cold-blood wasn't enough, and especially now that Lowenthal has to endure -Skittles-' rap poetry about "phat locs'" and "proper tracks".

So Lowenthal puts his short life on the line to share his experience with other new gangsters on the street. They come here looking for opportunity, for a family, for a place to grow and share respect. Every gangster has to start somewhere, and many of them don't know what they're signing up for when a family approaches them like the -Skittles- family did to the spirited Racinelli. So I would bet the rest of my Lowenthal life that after the new gangster takes this story of Racinelli and his experience with the -Skittles- crew, that new gangster might think twice before joining them. They'll at least have a better idea of what to look for in a family, what their appearance is, how they present their style. Maybe they'll want a trigger happy tyrant for a boss, and in that case they know where to look.

The new gangster can take this story for what it's worth, but again, if you're new and you join the -Skittles- crew, watch your back. Not only will you be working for a Don named -Skittles-, as if that's not disrespectful enough right there, but if you make any moves that -Skittles- doesn't like, even if it's for the family, you could be whacked out of his petty mindedness - telling you that he has to technically kill you because of the rules. Do you want to be a part of a family that kills its own members because of "rules" (that sounds like a rat cop family to me), or do you want to join a gangster family that will lay their lives down for your protection to the end, your life's more important than the rules?

It's your choice new gangster. Choose wisely... could be the last choice you make around these streets.

Lowenthal throws a few moltovs at the -Skittles- diner hangout, they all start running around like chickens.... "boss, he said you rap like a poser... I think you're a great rapper, boss!! Keep rappin boss... our family wouldn't be anything without your flows... your lyrics are hot like fifty cent boss!!"

His little preformance mocking -Skittles- was rather funny. I dont know if theres any truth to it, but its funny nonetheless

Oh, from the mouths of babes.  And when I say babes, I mean I love how a thug comes out here to tell a story about a crewleader who did them wrong.  The horror! 

You would think thugs would learn that coming out here and spewing this stuff is ineffective in getting their point across and just makes them look stupid.  But alas, this speech is repeated over and over and over again. 

But the advice is good - choose your leader wisely.  Well, to the extent that you get to choose your leader.  And if we're being frank, you do get to choose your leader these days.  We all would like to believe that leaders choose only the best and the brightest, but we know that doesn't happen.  So, you do get to choose your leader, and you should choose your leader wisely.  Because who knows when  a leader will come along and kill you for breaking crew rules.  I know, it's shocking to learn that a leader will punish you for violating the crew rules, but it does happen. 

*Htaed shakes his head with disgust at Lowenthal's tirade*

I've only been on the streets for 10 hours, and I've already made over 100 large.  I know I'm valuable to my family, and I also know the rules... when my family needs me to whack someone, they will let me know.

Yes. I'm no anarchist. And I wouldn't want to be in a family with a leader that would let people who break rules live.

-Skittles- should be incorporated into one of Ginger's famous drinks.  Also rats are cute when you feed them well and let them out once in a while in that little ball.  

Hmm very good advice.  I see too many new faces here, up & choose a family almost as soon as they arrive!  They don't even take a good 10mins to look over other members, & maybe a quick chat .... even just a crappy one-liner application gets them in. 

Your second day on the streets, you decided to take it upon yourself to decide what was best for the entire family without consulting them?  You're upset because your family punished you for endangering them.  Regardless of how you try to spin it, you ignored the chain of command, and were punished for it.

just sounds to me like the leaders should be careful as to who they recruit... not like a gangster could seriously threaten an entire crew.. some people just take the time to learn how this thing of ours actually works before they decide to up and "save" their crew... understanding the rules is an important part of reading the rules
