I said a few days ago I'd come to the streets to comment more fully on the KingBenny situation, and that time is now. Some of you may be disappointed because it won't be full of juicy tidbits that you get off on, so your pipes will just have to stay clogged this evening.

Here is a brief rundown of the events leading up to the death of KingBenny. 

One of KingBenny's associates shot and killed an LA inactive. His associate gave his life to said LA Don for the error, and was disposed of promptly by that leader. KingBenny was not happy about the leader disposing of a man who SHOT AND KILLED A MEMBER OF HIS FAMILY.

The Cheese Syndicate was temporarily banned from LA. You don't need to know the details, but it was discussed and agreed upon by both myself and Godfather Premier. KingBenny's actions in regard to a situation with LA are what led to this. It should be noted that on the same day, his LHM screwed up a situation with Philadelphia, which frustrated and angered the Don Scipita. Again, you don't need to know the details.

KingBenny's LHM started a witch hunt for Godfather Premier's head, while he was serving a lengthy jail sentence and unable to defend himself from said allegations, and disrespected me personally when I told him to stop. His actions not only lead to his death, but a permanent ban from LA for The Cheese Syndicate. Again, Godfather Premier and I discussed this, and I supported his decision because it is HIS city. Later that evening, we began discussing a reinstatement plan for KingBenny's family, but were unable to complete the details of it due to other personal obligations we had to deal with.  This occurred the night before the attack on LA. Benny was aware this discussion was taking place, and that I was confident the ban would be lifted after a short time.

KingBenny then attacked the LA Don who killed his associate FOR SHOOTING AT HIS FAMILY. He acted independently with a few from his upper structure, leaving the rest of his family homeless or dead. He did so without the knowledge of his Godfather, who he worked for in Chicago.

His son then came to the streets and painted the picture of his father being a martyr who's heroic actions vindicated his family and protected the city of Chicago from further mistreatment.

This couldn't be any further from the truth, and was simply a ploy by his next of kin to save face.

The fact is, KingBenny let his own personal pride get in the way of his duties, which ultimately led to his demise. I also know KingBenny recently fell on tough times, and was unable to commit as much time to his family as he would have liked. I believe this played a part in his actions, but that is also just pure speculation on my part. At least I'm speculating with facts though, and not blind assumptions like some.

His actions could have very well led to an all out assault on Chicago. The only thing that stopped it was Godfather Premier's trust in me (and a shitload of personal restraint on his part), which he stated clearly in a mail to me while Benny was being finished off. So much for Benny "giving himself up in exchange for the rest of Chicago's safety".

So there you have it, the true story behind the demise of The Cheese Syndicate.

I hated what KingBenny did, and completely denounce it, as it was in direct contradiction of the orders I gave him. For the record, he was still officially an associate of mine. Last I checked, those who defy their leaders orders are usually met with a swift death. Which was just the case.

To close, I'd like to state that I will greatly miss KingBenny and his company, as I always held him in the highest regard. I cared deeply for KingBenny and did everything in my power to help nurture and grow his family name. I'd have appreciated one final message from the man himself prior to his death, but maybe that will come in some other life down the road. On the night prior to his attack, I spoke very highly of KingBenny to Godfather Premier, which I'm sure he'll have no problem confirming.

KingBenny made his bed and now he lies in it. Chicago will move on without him, and will continue to work toward giving its residents a safe and hospitable place to earn a living.

Well explained Godfather and I'm sure everyone thanks  you for that.  Your RHW and I were unfortunately the only high rankers on from Chicago but she did an admirable job on locating him while sending me looking for his consig RH, all in an attempt to help the people he was after. 

He had refused to speak to most of us but did send me his correspondence which simply showed he was not thinking straight and that his opponent was a man of his word.  Unfortunately, nothing I said to him did any good. 

As you did, I enjoyed knowing him and hate the way our city's relationship with him ended, but I salute the people involved for their quick actions.

I agree with Crystal- that your RHW did the smart thing while you were gone. I feel that it was something that was destined to happen between LA and KingBenny after hearing this. Unfortunately for innocent people their fate had to be the same of their leaders but I just want to say that leader's aren't perfect. They will mess up and they will face many upset people and that is part of life. No one will like everyone.

I can understand KingBennys frustration with his member being shot even though he did shoot an associate of an LA family. Now if KingBenny gave the go ahead, then understandable. Otherwise I can understand the frustration of waking up and finding a member dead. I only say this because a member of Premiers family fired upon my great grandfathers family and my great grandfather killed that mafioso with only the LHM auth and not Premiers. It was a lesson my bloodline has noted and I feel KindBenny was just wanting to be around for the punishment. All things will be dealt with differently but it's always best to take a breath before reacting unless it's life threatening.

My last note is I don't think you necessarily had to explain the actions that were taken and I thank you for your time. It's very gracious to allow us to know the realm of things. Again, thank you sir.

The Cheese Syndicate will be missed. King Benny was a good man. But even good men go haywire once in awhile.

Thank you for the explanation, Godfather Sidious. I can understand why you reacted the way that you did, but I can also understand why King Benny acted the way that he did. I think there are a few lessons to be learned here. The biggest one is to understand the role of power in Cosa Nostra. Perhaps KB believed that there was a certain protocol that needed to be followed by LA, and believed he was in the moral right if it was not followed. The lesson, then, is that being right does not amount to a hill of beans if the other guy has a gun down your throat.

The other lesson is to be cautious who you put into positions of responsibility. Sometimes the guy that you trust the most or who is your best friend is not always the best person for the job. You need someone who makes the right decisions at the right times, above all else. Poor decision making early on had a snowball effect which ultimately led to The Cheese Syndicate's demise.
