The Cosa Nostra Times - Issue I Started by: Ronin on Oct 10, '15 20:08

Sorry I never replied to you Sammy (RIP). I've been quite busy.

I would just like to say that although the paper does take a lot of work and effort, I will never expect any sort of payment from our readers. We do it for the fun of it, for the pride that it gives us to know we're doing something informative for our world.

You can all expect to see our next issue on the First of November. I hope our readers will enjoy Issue II as much as they have Issue I.

Picks up the paper that was lying on a nearby bench.  Browses through the stories, stopping on the interview with Visas.  Shakes her head.  That girl has quite the temper, no control at all.  She smiles, still fond of her boss, even if she needed the occasional attitude adjustment.

Tucks the paper into her bag to finish reading later, wondering when the next edition would be out.  It was a good read so far, she couldn't wait to see more.

Rain picks up some papers left behind in mother's belongings.  She opens a newspaper called The Cosa Nostra Times.

She thinks to herself  what a difference less than 2 weeks makes.

New York

The Zoo | B- | I like this, because now she can call the whole city “Zoo York.” But on the other hand, who wants to name their crime family after a place where animals are kept behind bars? Isn’t the idea to stay OUT of prison?

La Famiglia Gato | B+ | Solid, but nothing special. Using Italian gets you bonus points. Might be the most realistic of all the names.

La Casa Spurgeon | C | Much like the one above, only this poor lad was so unlucky as to be named Spurgeon. Whenever I read it I only see splurge on. One might think it was a poorly named porno.

Polaris | B | Naming your crew after the North Star is pretty solid.

Philadelphia

The Wild Hunt | C+ | A tad confusing. What are they hunting? And why is the hunting party so wild? Or am I missing something here?

The Philadelphia Production Company | C- | I’ve never much liked family names that have the city’s name in them. Just a tad bland for me.

The New Nexus | A- | I love this one. The definition of Nexus is “a connection or series of connections linking two or more things.” It’s a more intelligent way of calling yourself the new family. And we all know how important "connections" can be around here.

She places the paper back with the others.

Rae picked up a paper and handed a few coins over in exchange. She tucked the paper under her arm and walked towards the park to sit on a bench and read in the early morning sunlight. She took a seat and crossed her legs before unfolding the paper and starting to read.

Rae, can you please be more creative! When are you going to stop being redundant?

Rae looked up started and then gave a creative hand gesture to the man speaking to her, "Probably when I find a fuck to give." she told him with a sweet smile. She stood up and waltzed off because obviously, she had so many better things to do with her time. Like learn how to knit, or perhaps even take up the gentleman's sport of fencing.
