| Back alley edit feature | Started by: Asylum on Oct 14, '15 00:18 |

I know this is a bit of an odd request. However, would it be possible since back alley is a private thread to add in an "edit" feature on one post as oppose to having to wack and redo a thread? I know in most cases a simply copy/paste and edit what you need to then repost would suffice. Though there are instances where it'd be easier to edit just one thread. Basically the feature would be that the owner of the thread could simply edit the thread without having to delete and recreate something. Maybe even make it so if the thread is shared that users can edit if given permission? Not sure how much coding this would take to do. |

This would be a nice feature as say for Buisness ideas you then could write up the Buisness then if it's approved then all you gotta do is move it however if it's not approved then You can edit instead of redoing the whole thing and if the manager feels it just needs some tweaks they can fix it for you or you het it all wrote up and are about to send to them and you have already hit submit boom hit the edit button Also good for crew competitions like earnings and such it's not like it's the streets where everyone can see that should remain a final |

I like this and think it would be beneficial. It would make for a lot cleaner posts being pushed up. Can't count how many times I rewrote something because of a mistake. Could put something in a back alley, let a couple people look at it for suggestions. and edit if necessary. Is this possible? |

I frequent the back alley quite often to organize miscellaneous things in threads so this would help a ton. I have agree with this suggestion. |

This was brought up in a conversation I was having.. I think this would be a great idea. Seems like this got support back when Asylum first posted it but didn't gain much traction. |

Adding an edit option to the back alleys will open numerous possibilities for various games to be played in them (Forum games), such as Mafia and Werewolf. We all know we can start a thread with a blank post and then write anything - wack it and then write something else, but that is just playing around the system. |

This would make things a lot easier for my lottery games so I whole-heartedly agree |

Nothing should really be edited though, you shouldnt be able to change the past if someone has viewed it, or even worse, if someone responded. |

Just in back alley though. Not like in Streets or something. |

Right, back alley... the second someone views it or replies to it, the past shouldnt be able to be taken back. I think you underestimate the can of worms you open up by allowing people to edit their stuff once others have read it, or replied to it :P |
