I don't remember a lot of my early days. I guess.. I locked up all my memories and threw the key away. But I'll try telling everything that pops up. I was born in New York, to Joanna Levine. The date? August the 6th, 1913. A sunny day, but I would live in the shadows for years. The reason I didn't mention my father is that I don't know him. I've only seen him twice, from a distance. I haven't heard from him since. My mother's family renounced her because of me, and when she passed away, the streets became my home, the stars my roof. I guess I was around 9 or 10 years old at that time. New Orleans is where I started a new life. I lived in the streets again, but determined to be somebody. A few years later I made some cash by pickpocketing New Orleans' citizens. That day I woke up, snached some bread from the bakery and wandered off. It was Lorrie. |
