I have watched many NFL games and I watch many American Sports, I dont feel any resentment for it not being "my own game" if anything i prefer the fanfare of american sports and the general atmosphere, and i dont know where you got that I hate the game, the Pussies comment in my first comment was purely a joke, and many other Americans i have spoken to take it as a joke first off. Its a common feeling amongst sports fans here that you calling your Football football even though the rest of the world doesnt is a common joke around fans, perhaps you haven't spoken to many Brit or you may have come across this, in terms of the rest of the planet comparing Rugby and American Football is like comparing bare knuckle boxing and normal boxing, they're both gonna hurt you, but being a bare knuckle boxer is tougher.

See, right here is how I know you haven't watched much American Football; that and the previous comment were you said that you know nothing about American Football and then went on to make the joke about how many pre-game shows and post-game shows we have. You've obviously came off being serious.

Basically, American Football and Rugby are both very different. Why everyone thinks it is so much more tougher than American Football is reason being: Everyone thinks they're both nearly the same exact sport, just the American version was taken and changed around a bit and then everyone was given padding and helmets. 

If you'd actually watched an American Football game in depth, you'd know that both are very different from one another. The only thing that still holds true is both teams have to get past a defense to score points. The two ways are very different. In American Football you are fighting for positional power, I like to think of it as a mini-war in each game. You keep them from your base no matter what. In each down (or play if you will) there are at least five collisions that if attempted in Rugby would most likely cause the players to be severely injured.

I understand both are tough, but the only reason Brits and the like believe American Football isn't as tough is from pure ignorance and nothing more. I didn't really want to rant, but I hated how you reeled back and began trying to play the "Hey man, I don't want any trouble." card.

Now, I will end this... but try slamming in to someone at full speed in rugby and try forcefully knocking them over in one hit instead of grabbing at the legs and tell me how well you feel after that. Well, after they cart you off and send you to the doctors. Haha.

I understand your trying to provoke me, and if you had asked I have watched many games but i don't quite get the rules of the game, with all the different set plays and things like that and John Madden scribbling around on his Telestrator. It is possible to watch something and not quite follow it you know... and maybe you haven't watched as many rugby games as you think, many times in every game a player will get completely mowed down and not just grabbed around the legs. 

American Football players go in twice as hard as Rugby players because of the padding.I still believe Rugby is a much tougher sport however because their is no stop-start like their is in American Football and it is physical and brutal throughout for 80 mins. Oh and favourite football team ? Reading Fc come on URZZZZ!!!
