Having spent the day checking out the coming and goings at paulos place, Knud set the car in motion. a short visit to a guy on the paylist of Knuds boss would also prove valuable. A feeble little town hall clerc once had gotten himself in debt in Don PedroRourkes casino ever since then he was kind enough to supply any groundplans of any building he was asked for, as a well as fire departments yearly safety reports and other relavant papers. Knowing how the place you wanted to make trouble in was golden and even though no groundplan could beat seing the place for yourself they still wielded information of rooms youd not be able to get into for various reasons...rooms holding safes for instance.

Having picked up the paperwork and tipped the clergyman a sweet little bundle Knud headed towards Carlottas hideout. Parking his car and entering the house, he noticed the new face.

After proper introductions and after being assured that Starshine was to be a part of this Knud starts talking.

Heres the groundplan and the firedepartments report, taking note of the rooms placement and the fact that the firedepartments reports mention steeldoors at these various locations i think its safe to say this is Paulos saferoom and with 99% certainty where his main safe is located and thus also 99% sure where you object is located Carlotta.

As to the number of men. Theres 3 bouncers one of them placed outside with the other two being inside the establishment unless needed outside. Then theres Paulos sidekick luka hes acting as host and to be honest he looks like hes halfdrunk all the time but he is in the game and thus a man we must reckon with. Then theres the main threat, a guy called Vitorio, as soon as i saw him i knew he was a someone. I asked around and sure enough hes been doing some hits for various crews in the past. Hes know to have taken out over 10 men in hits and was involved in atleast 3 shotouts that he walked away from without a scratch. To make it short, we need this guy to die or be severely injured with the first bullit that flies, if we fail to bring him down fast our boys will bleed for it. Ontop of this we can expect that the place holds friends of Paulo who dont directly work for him. But a switch and effective action should prevent them from getting cocky enough to step in. So far so good any questions.

Knud Looks around the group in the room

Carlotta listens intently.  No matter how we do this, we will be going up against superior forces, and because of that, we will have only one chance to do this right.  If we do it right no one on our side will die, if we do it wrong, we can expect heavy casualties. 

Carlotta looks at the plans for a moment. 

Yes, his safe room is  most likely here, which means we need to find a way around or through all of this security.  If we could get rid of this hitter quietly, either pay him off or take him out, it would  be a help.  She turns to knud.  This man is not as honorable as others.  Are there any of his men who might help up with the promise of safety.  Also, check some of the locals, I know that those of us in the Family, are not happy with him. 

Ok Carlotta ill check out if we can get someone to turn, as to the hitter offcourse youre rigth  we should simply use money to get him away. How about we use some of our out of town connections to give him a job or atleast the promise of a job somewhere far from this city. that should not aruse suspicion

With him out of the way im sure we can do a swift takeover  we need 2 guys to takeover at the doors and keep people from entering 2 guys to keep the place quiet while 2 guys escort Paulo in and makes him open the safe. so thats 6 in all. Theres me and my associate Narishma so youll have to supply 3 more guys Carlotta but im guessing Sal comes along so thats 2 left.

Is there a payphone close by, ill go call some people and arrange for that hitter to be gone

As Sal gives the instructions on where to find the payphone Knud leaves the others to keep planning

Starshine sat in the back feeling less than useless but more than unhelpful. She refilled the tea pot and interjected her opinion when she thought it would count. She finally took to polishing her gun, waiting for Carlotta to tell her what position she would be taking.

Once Carlotta was sure that Knud and the others were busy doing their own work she came and sat next to starshine and poured some more tea.  Now, it is fortunate that you came in, I have something to be done that I think might draw attention if it were done by any of our men.  Carlotta smiled and stirred her tea.

You have some friends who work in jewlery?  I need one who is both good and discreet.  We are going to make this man look like a fool.

Starshine and I spoke at length about part of the plan that the men had no part in, and no information about.  It wasn't that I didn't trust them, it was that it is easier to say you don't know if you really don't know.  I was certain we were going up against heavy hitters and I was sure at least a few of us would get picked up by the police or by Friends of Ours, and I didn't want them to lie if they didn't have to.

Besides, that was a very small part in the whole.  Our next big thing was to get the driver.  And I knew for that, I had to rely on Knud.  Which is why I was surprised when a car pulled up outside the place we were staying.  There were few who knew we were here.

Starshine came back into the building after going to see her personal jeweler. He was the man who had verified that the diamond they had heisted was the one her grandfather had faceted. He was also the man who held the diamond safely. He was a master at imitating jewelry and had fabricated many pieces that looked, felt, and for the most part were thought to be original pieces. He had copied the design of the rose so flawlessly that even Carlotta couldn't tell the difference. Satisfied with the copy Carlotta proceeded with the next step.

The man sitting in the car outside Carlottas hideout sat in the car looking out assuring himself he had the rigth place. Then he opened the cardoor steeped out and lit up a cigarette. He took the few steps to the door in a slow pace so he was able to take a few long drags on the cigarette, then reaching the door he put it out, then lifted hes hand to ring the bell.

The door opened swiftly and left him starring into Sals angry face

Who the hell are you 

Abit surpriced with this welcome he preseded to say...My name is Ishamael, Knud told me to come here. He said you guys needed a driver 

Just as he finishes he sentence Knud returns from the payphone, Hello Ishamael  well meet lets go inside.

The three of them go into the house Sal sending a look around the street before closing the door

Miss Carlotta?

Sal's knock was soft, not quite timid, but soft, as if afraid of disturbing her.  He waited a beat or two before entering, gesturing for the others to wait in the hall. 

Carlotta gestured for him to help her as she put the plans away.  He smiled, noticing the small hitch in her gait that told him that her back was bothering her.  He smiled and put down the tea the druggist had given him for her.  The doctor said that this tea should help you with the stiffness in your back.  He's sure that it will do you some good.

There is a driver here, Knud is vouching for him, but I don't know the young man.  He shook his head.

What is your impression of him?

He isn't claiming an Eagle.  He isn't a friend of Ours as far as I know.  I'll keep my eye on him.

Carlotta nodded, Stay nearby, I want you to be able to hear him, and be close enough if anything needs to be done.

Sal nodded and then went and let Knud and the new man in.  Miss Carlotta is running this show.  Be respectful.  He said to the driver.  Then he took up a position near Carlotta, close enough to intervene if there is trouble,

The new guy looked kinda nervous

Knud said you needed a good driver, im not excatly the most experienced  but i know how to drive

He will drive the car and he will do it well, hes a true son of motorcity  born and breed with a car.

Anyways ive looked into matters  and found out something great, two of the bouncers should turn to us easy. Apparently our problem seems to be to cheap to grease the cops enough so the bouncers took a few rides to jail when they overstepped their boundrys, they both looking for other work and well im hiring for my joint Motorcity musichouse. They will  step down when they be asked too   so now we are back to the hitter and the others inside. By the way Carlotta...ive talked to people trying to pull that hitter guy out and h told my man that he aint going nowhere for now cos hes working something.  Ive asked around and i cant spot any conflicts our problem is in, maybe we should worry abit  who the hitter is after.

After having spilt the beans infront of Ishamael Knud looks at Sal then to Ishamaels empty hands

I said he was a friend of mine, so you gonna pour him a drink or just let him eyeball ours

Carlotta nodded silently to Sal.

He'll do.  You know knud, he's your responsibilty.

Sal got up and poured the young man a drink, refilling Carlotta's cup on the way.

The hitter conserns me as well.  I was hoping he was just hired muscle, but if he is that hard to get away, he is definately working.  There are a few names that might be on his list, including mine.  We have to find a way to take him out quietly.  See if we can find a 'specialist.' I would really prefer that we not walk in to that place with this guy still there.  See if there is a way we can 'convince' him to leave... permanently.

Carlotta smiled at Ishmael.

First rule of driving.  Keep your hands on the wheel, your eyes on the road, and your ears on anything but what we say to each other.  And NEVER tell what you see in the mirror.

Lets say a card game was arranged, lets say that big names was there, lets say this hitter got reason to think someone was cheating, lets say that i stood reasy and willing to pop his ass as soon as he spoke harshly. A little alkohol a nice woman whispering in his ear...i think we could provocate this...all that is important is that he have some big name to step on.

Interesting thought Mr Knud.  Yes, an underhanded trick like that might work.  It wouldn't take much to set it up, I still have my connections.  

Carlotta stops and speaks in Italian to Sal a moment who says something in return that sounds decidedly affirmative.

Yes, an underhanded, 'crude' trick might be just what we need.  Make him think that there are some big players coming.  Get him a bit drunk, and make sure he does not leave this place alive. 

Carlotta smiles wickedly.  Arrange it mr Knud.  Tell him that a driver will be provided, for his own safety, and ours of course, all participants will be driven to the location. 

Knud gets up

Well ill hit that horn again, hell the phonecompany never made better money on a payphone

Finishes off the drink before he continues the talk

So, any plans Knud? Anything going on? You know how hungry I am for some action!

Carlotta nods.

We will see Ishmael, for now, I need you driving some of the high rollers, get them there in one piece, and tell no one of our plans.

After alot of phonecalls and talking to know lovers of poker Knud has collected together a group of people whos craving a game.

Everything is arranged so that the game will take place in the backroom of the motorcity musichouse. Ishamael and Narishma will act as drivers. I have a friend coming  he will make it happen  hes a boss so as soon as that guy offends him ill act on it since the game is happening at my place, what you say about that carlotta ?

Knud awaits the answer   hoping Carlotta will go along since getting all these people together took a while

Sounds good, is your 'friend' willing to go in with us knowing that there might be some....repercussions?  I would hate for him to come after us later.  I mean, he does know our intentions when it comes to this game.  No?

Carlotta nods.  Sal with be with me, in case things are not as planned.  We will...improvise if we need to, and it would be better for all concerned if we didn't need to.
