The Apple Doesn't Fall Far Started by: Duplicity on Oct 23, '15 04:23

Duplicity sat at the other end of the table with her close friend Kimble. The two had been going over the blueprints of his new headquarters. After the world going crazy and the skies going red. They returned to her home and began drafting a future for him and many to come.

He was going to be moving his family to the fine city of New York to try and build up its ranks alongside the wonderful @Eroati. The man welcomed Kimble to the city and she knew both would build a bright future together.

The man, himself, had done so much for her. He was there for her when she was at her lowest and there beside her at her strongest. He helped her friend Senza build a wonderful South Side. They both, Senza and herself, agreed that he deserved the riches he would receive.

"I am glad to see you have the chance you deserve."

Duplicity smiled as she took one last look over the new place. She would be quite sad to see him go, New York wasn't too far, but farther than she would like. He smiled and stood up. He walked over and put his hands on her shoulders.

"I am always here for you, you know that. So don't look so sad to see me go. You didn't have to give me this chance, nor did Senza, but your heart let me. I am more than thankful for this opportunity."

She nodded and gave a small smile.

"I will grow accustom to your absence in Chicago. Yet, expect me to visiting a lot!"

He smirked and nodded.

"There will be a room meant just for you, I promise."

They finished up their work and then made their way to the door. Kimble's new journey was just about to begin and Duplicity wished the best of luck to him.

Visas had traveled to Chicago early she had heard the news that Kimble was to be given his own City to run Visas was excited and could hardly contain it.

Kimble right from the start you have worked your ass off for us when Duplicity authed Senza i had put your name forward to Senza as a fantastic choice in Right Hand to help guide her you did not disappoint. Senza now shines brighter then ever when Duplicity gave me the wonderful city of Detroit you where there to let me know that if i needed anything all i had to was ask.

You have continued to put your heart and soul into working for us and this is most deserved for you i wish you nothing but the best and know if you are ever in the Booty City Detroit you can always call in to the Exiles HQ you are and always will be family my brother.

Visas steps forward and gives Kimble a hug.

Kimble made it to the door and placed his hand on the handle.  As he tried to push it down, he felt a crushing feeling in his chest.  Were these... emotions?  He had never felt anything like this in his life.  He couldn't tell what was coursing through him, but the door just wouldn't move.  He gathered himself for a moment before turning back around to face the four Godmothers.  It had dawned on him that this was the last time he would be in Duplicity's office as a member of Chicago.  The moment was melancholy.    On one hand he was excited for the opportunity they had given him.  On the next, he loved these ladies.  He didn't want to leave them with so many miles separating them.  His time in Chicago has been some of the best anyone could have really dreamed of.

"The four of you mean so much to mean, words do not do how I feel any justice.  The amount of respect that I have for each of you isboth immense and unique.  I only hope that I can live up to your high expectations and restore New York to it's former glory.  I know the task is nothing short of staggering, but I do feel I am up to the task.  Thank you for having the trust in myself and my family to do this.  But please do not be mistaken.  My heart remains in Chicago always.  From the moment I was born into this world has been the complete protection and survival of yourselves.  My mission hasn't changed even though I am moving to New York.  You can count on us any time, any place."

After stopping himself after his small rant, he felt a bit embarrassed.  He looked at each of the smiling Godmothers abashed.  He gave them each a hug, gripping them tightly.  With that finished,Duplicity agreed to escort him safely to the airport.

The time had come for Kimble to move away, the man who helped her growing into the woman she was now. Senza already had troubles letting him go on his own even though he was right near her. But now, he wouldn't be that close to her anymore. He had been given the nod to rebuild New York. Ofcourse she knew he would be the right man for that job. But that didn't mean she wasn't sad about Kimble leaving Chicago. She had mixed feeling about him moving away. A single tear runned down her face as she gives Kimble a big firm hug. Before she looks at him she swiftly wipes teh tear away.

"Goodluck my friend, you will be greatly missed here in Chicago. But I will be always here for you, I know you will be there for me too. And don't let Spikes baste you too much!"

Anna had been woken in the night by a sharp knock on the door of her apartment. She was not a lady who took kindly to being stirred in the night - she'd wake up when she was good and ready, and not before. Heart racing, she reached out to the side of her bed for her pistol and succeeded only in spilling the glass of water she'd poured for herself before she retired.

As she hissed a stream of curses, another knock came at the door. Grumbling still under her breath, Anna pulled a thick, luxurious robe tight around herself and brushed her fingers through her hair, before walking to the front door of the hallway. Opening the door, she found one of Don Kimble's messengers.

"Assemble your things. Be ready. We're going to New York."

Anna, still not quite awake, nodded mutely. As the messenger retreated down the hallway, she mumbled to herself, "Just as I had this place fixed up perfectly..." as she set about haphazardly dragging her things into bags. She'd leave the big things and the fragile things where they were. The apartment could be locked up and she was sure it wouldn't be long before she was back in the Windy City for some reason or another. After about an hours worth of packing, she was left with two large suitcases and her usual oversized handbag. She heaved them out onto the sidewalk with some difficultly, flagging down an early morning cab.

"To the airport!" she murmured, before lapsing into silence and watching the city pass her by.

Several hours later, she found herself wheeling her suitcase out of the terminal, and jumping into another cab - this one to take her to her families new HQ in Brooklyn.

The cab pulled up just in time for her to step out and see Kimble unlocking the door to the new HQ. Walking over, she smiled.

"Good morning, Bossman! Quite a surprise your messenger gave me this morning. But, here we are, the Big Apple! I'm excited for you to be getting this chance and opportunity, and I'm excited to be the very small part of it that I am! Congratulations, my dear. I look forward to creating our legacy out here."

Kimble, this will be quite an interesting move for us, but we will never forget where we came from, the bottom, but now we're here.

P.S.

Isn't Anna precious? She's just starting to get into this life of crime. It's her first time.

The history of a carrot is more interesting.

Report Post Tip

The talk with Senza is more interesting. Senza sucks at defending her honor.
