Emotions. This guttural, primal driving force that shapes the dynamics of our world. For weeks, we've witnessed the angry outbursts and impassioned interjections from various kin of the fallen. Naturally, those in the establishment quickly dismiss the angry as naive, bothersome, and dismiss them. "Suck it up" is commonly thrown around as is the all-too-familiar "get over it." Now why do we dismiss the value of these emotions? Rusty, following Duplicity's interview, as well as many of you, have spoken of emotions as a sort of hindrance to clear-headed business-as-usual leadership, but I disagree. Emotional ties, spitefulness, and the anger that it fuels for the kin of those who die brings such a vital purpose to this world. Irrational attachments, refusing to "suck it up," these emotions fuel the covert flames that become the impetus of new things: uprisings, wars, and empower new generations. This world cannot exist without new generations. Seeing the generational waves come and go is a beautiful thing, in fact, and only emotions guarantee that. They are the antithesis of complacency and keep stagnation at bay. In a few months time, the faces of our leaders will change; no doubt, it will be quite different from the establishment authority today. In that time, Duplicity will have likely passed as well as Visas and any other household name today. This is no controversial claim; our mortality is a basic truth. And no doubt the Chicago fallen will be saddled with their own anger as well. Probably just as resentful as many of you are today, feeling the very same things you're feeling. Lusting after that sweet revenge against those who have wronged you. And so, to all of you who harbor anger in your hearts, nourished by spite stemming from your fathers' passings, I encourage you to use that anger. Harness it. Don't listen to those who encourage you to forget. It would be a dreadful waste of your capabilities. Allow those emotions to aid you in perhaps furtively building something for yourself and your alliances from underground. Let the anger out on the streets if you must - these outlandish interjections do become compelling diversions on occasion - but ultimately let your emotions provide something of value for you. Let it drive you to usurp the establishment and stake your claim on the next generation of authority. |

Ahhh What there is a difference between harnessing that hate and coming to the streets like a child. We have seen the likes of Teqs bloodline become that of which he loves to poke fun at we have seen the moron kin of Rollinblade/smarty/freeatlatlsast/salty take to the streets making complete fools of themselves i personally have come to the conclusion we have a new Age sensitive Mafia. Where there kin come out and try to talk big your mother or daddy killed my mother/father its sad and to be honest fucking pathetic lets talk about the bloodline of Teq a bloodline i had a shit ton of respect for a bloodline that has no bones about ridiculing a next of kin in these streets about there pappy or mammy being killed. His pappy ended up on Duplicity's shit list and as a result ended up pushing up daisy's in an unmarked grave. Then his next of kin takes to the streets crying like a little bitch is that not hypocritical? We also have the moronic bloodline of rollinblade/smarty/salty/freeatlast a known moron for getting himself killed for trying to start wars because the voices in his head tell him its the right thing to do. Now i know at some stage i myself will meet my maker if thats a pit of fire or angels singing hymns thats up to him/her to decide. I could not care less but my next of kin wont be seen crying in these streets like a spoilt child that is for sure. My line as been known to be on the wrong end of many takedowns wars it dusts itself off and moves on, the only thing that crying in these streets proves is that you are nothing but a bitch. The flipside of this is who in there right mine will welcome someone who cannot or will not move on into there crew? I know for a fact that anyone with a past grudge will not be welcome within my crew or city for that matter i will not put my life or my cities life at risks over some petty disagreement. I have never hidden the fact that i am not only loyal to my city i am loyal to Duplicity i was her associate then i was her right hand she authed me and then gave me a district. When she wanted a loyal person to take the reigns of Detroit she choose me over her longtime friends. If that dont tell you anything your in denial, These cry babies that have taken to the streets because there mum or dad where killed atleast learned on thing they learned to read. Yes i am Still Duplicity's Minion i am also her wrath her dagger in the night if anyone bothered to check my crew description i have never hid that fact.I am also her weapon of mass destruction her executioner if that helps make you sleep better at night. I am proud to call Duplicity my friend and prouder to stand by her side. Do i care for any reasons? No i could not care less I told Duplicity if she ever needed me all she has to do is ask and i will be there in a heartbeat if that means taking my city to war for her then so be it. So children come to the streets cry bring your tears whine like some new age sensitive mafia cry baby i am not going anywhere. |

*wets his beak with duck juice*
Harnessing Anger, being constructive, rebuilding while tweaking what you did wrong in your last life. Come now sir, these are things that are too hard for most to swallow. It is much easier to bitch, whine and complain and go about making the same mistakes in general your father made.
*looks to Visas and smiles*
I think sometimes, as we try and make these changes from one generation to the next it can bite us in the ass. You mentioned Teq, who was a calmer more huggable Teq for all intensive purposes and what did that get him? Right or wrong, it didn't end up any different than his the more teethy, snarling version. So, to that I am sure part of his kins reaction was "Why Bother" why should I change when the outcome is the same. Hypocracy is tough, we associate bloodlines instead of individuals. One Individual in a family line can be completely different than the rest. That doesn't make them a Hypocrite, unless generation A completely changes their behavior or stances while still in Generation A. Although I completely understand it is very difficult to separate established bloodlines from individual generations of it.
All in all it comes down to what you want from this life in the long term, If you want power and control then you will always get frustrated when your team loses. If it is simply to have a good life supporting your family and making friends along the way, typically dying and rebuilding isn't a big deal. |

I appreciate your responses, though I feel both of you have misconceived my objectives. I made no mention of stifling nor ridiculing those who come out to the streets to "bitch and whine." In fact, I encourage it. I support this public discourse, boorish as it may be at times, because I see these expressions of emotion as productive experiences. I ask those who carry any animosity to harness - not stifle - their emotions. To stifle implies the muzzling and repression of their feelings. By no means is this what I suggested. Rather, to harness your hate is to channel it through productive means. Allowing your enmity to strengthen you to pursue those spiteful ends, be it clearly or clandestinely. Let it drive you towards revolutions, uprisings, revolts. Let it build you to be something great. Now, Visas, you brought up the point of "who in their right mind would welcome someone who hasn't moved onwards into their crew?" I say, you'd be surprised. Those of us who come here to express our thoughts - we are the minority - a very small minority indeed. Those whom have shouted and stomped publicly represent only a slice of the pie of dissent. There is a burgeoning assemblage of silent people whose objections are unspoken, but they are there. I have no doubt that these silent dissenters are dispersed within your own city and districts. Those are the individuals I have addressed in my speech. Because they exist, and they are listening. And so, I am telling them not to lose sight of their subversive potential. To not smother their hate, but allow it to breed from within. |
