| New Mail Feature | Started by: Skorpeon on Oct 07, '09 15:32 |

I was sitting here thinking of new things that could be suggested for the game when I thought of something that I think would help alot of people out. What if we put an ignore feature in the profiles, this would stop people who want to sit back and harass certain people, or if you just dont want to talk to someone you can put them on your ignore list and it stops them from mailing you. Sort of like the contact list, however, nothing has to show on the 60 seconds list. If someone ignored me, and I tried to send a mail, it could say "This person isn't accepting mails at the moment" or something to that nature. What do you think? |

This has been suggested before and it always receives the same witty retort: |

Well, I think the long and short of it is - if you want to ignore them because they are actively harassing/making inappropriate comments, the infrastructure is there for the game staff to act. If you just want to ignore them because of this or that, the ability is there for you to deal with it in game. |

And its not meant in a mean way, but there is a certain beauty to the reply of posting the wack page. If its personal harassment, enough to where it bothers you, it should be reported to the administration. If its spamming of another game or inappropriate subject matter, it should also be reported. If its someone in game harassing you in game, take it up with your CL and have the issue dealt with. Another point is... if you don't want GingerAle mailing you (who wouldn't though? She's so amazing.) when you load the mail page, you don't have to look at the mail unless you click on it. Just delete mail from people you don't want to read. |

Ginger, I guess that could be the way to go. This idea was mainly for those who might have broken a rule then died and came back and joined another family. The leader or RHM of your previous family then mails you harassing you about why you left and why you broke a rule, etc. |

Oh, I realize the multiple scenarios that could apply, Skorp, but if its someone you don't want to talk to, don't read the mail, and certainly don't engage them with a reply. In reality though, if you die and go join another family and the leader(s) of that family have nothing better to do than to mail a thug or a gangster to harass them about the past, its kinda pathetic on their end, in my opinion. They killed your character, as punishment. If you're not in their family and have nothing more to do with them, don't even bother opening the mail. |

the leader(s) of that *OLD family (meaning the one you were killed in) Sorry if it didn't come out right. |
