(OOC: I have had threads moved for not being in character. Using words such as "IA" will get it moved or the box quotes. Same as the word "thread" would be OOC. Even though I did not act out my characters part. I was still speaking in character. There has always been the ongoing argument of if just plain speeches are in character or not, aka no italic role played out parts, etc. They still are. People have different styles. Hindering the streets to one specific style that you want will make it even less populated.) Not a worry. I am sure you meant no harm by it, just wanted to point out how it is taken. |

Well then, you're wrong. They aren't purely for role play, and never have been. They have always been in character, yes. But a big part of the streets' usefulness is that leaders can use it to make announcements, to reach the whole country in one short sweep. Could these sort of things be done in OOC? Certainly, one could argue that. I tend to pay much more attention to the streets than I do OOC however. But that could just be me. Just because there isn't a bit in italics at the top about Duplicity lighting a cigarette or stepping out from the shadows of an alleyway doesn't mean it isn't in character. And before you get a hard on for me about OOC, let me just say I realize this entire post I just made was OOC, and give zero shits. The majority of the replies have been as well. Lights a smoke and slithers back into the shadows. |

She walks up behind Ronin and stabs him in the ass with a large veterinary syringe filled with OOCitis vaccine. Seriously? I want to throat punch you right now. She presses the plunger down with force being sure to hit bone with the tip of the need. Have a cookie, they're so good you can't tell anyone. She tucks a bag of cookies into Ronin's hand and walks off. |
