Mexico City Started by: Fabrizio_Senzafine on Oct 10, '09 05:23

ok in 1930`s , it was a bit impossible to travel between USA and Sicily for a mobster, so this way postin a new idea about italian cities would not make any sense. But what about mexico city? ... where`s really famous with latino mafiosos and realy tough drug runs.

There of , we should be given a new city , to run drugdeals. But we are not allowed to settle our crime families on that city, since he got his own local mobsters. So this city just may be used for purchasin very cheat Coke or heroin and also , during the travel, soon as you click on ''FLY'', there may be a serious threat of gettin caught by border-cops, which would result in thrown in the jail for like 3 hours and only can be busted by a Don...This way , travelling to Mexico City , would be so dangerous that mobsters may use that city as a safehouse in case a war..

im lookin forward to see your guys' comments and discuss about this new idea \o/

...with all my respects...

This is a fantastic idea, realistic and can change MR's gameplay but unfortunately in my opinion this will have to wait because 2 cities have not yet a Godfather(chicago and SL) and SL really need crews to fill in.

Report Post Tip

I think if the part about getting busted by a Don or "Godfather" only is removed it would be a better Idea as in such case it will be a real threat, just my opinion thou.

Report Post Tip

actually indeed , it has to look like a real threat..so you even may lose your gun while tryin to pass the mexico border loaded with drugs..Or tryin to purchase cheap cokes ( maby 3000$ is considerably good price ) , it may result in losin your gun..so this way , mobsters would think twice :)

Report Post Tip

Eh, so everyone would run to Mexico to stay alive? I don't know, sounds like something to protect people who should die for their crew...

St. Louis does have a soon to be God Father, just Chicago is empty.

Report Post Tip

no mate .. its not about bringin a new feature to provide mob's runnin to mexico.. if you decide to fly Mexico, you should also consider the threat of losin your gun .. and if it happens during a war, it would suck big time tbh :)

Report Post Tip

Unless you are the last one left and just want to hide

Report Post Tip

I really can't say how much I dislike this idea.

Report Post Tip

why ?  should i support this idea by suggestin a jailwack? :)

if we are able to wack eachother in jail , then mexico wouldnt be used like a shelter to run away from wars..eh?

Report Post Tip

It's just totally inaccurate, realism wise. I challenge you to find me an instance where, during a mob war, some of the big guys eloped to Mexico. They didn't. They went to the mattresses, which is basically the equivalent of the current prowack system, which I can't see anything wrong with.

ok Boss :)

I actually like this. It wasn't abnormal for mobsters to get their drugs out of country. Not being able to have a crew leader there is even better because it's not the Italians turf. Also higher chance of getting caught makes sense.

I have to side with Noah on this, did any famous mob figure run to Mexico I could understand the same suggestion for Sicily, although I still wouldn't agree with it.

I also don't think we need more ways to make money, as we already have far too much in the game as it is. As this is a fairly negative response, we also really do not need more cities. We have barely filled crews already in operation, I do not see the benefit to adding more.

in 1930's it was not that easy to fly to sicily so this is why i suggested mexico city..Plus , like i said b4 , its not an easy way to run from the wars..most likely, there is a risk that you may lose your gun as well..

Report Post Tip

sir Tallien, in my suggestion , we are not going to be allowed to settle new fams and new crews onto mexico city..

Report Post Tip

In the 1930s did any Mafia figures flee to Mexico City?

On the crew front, my apologies. Even so, for the other reasons, I'm still against it.

i think yea, logically if i was a mobster livin in 1930's, first place id consider to flee, would be Mexico City..not that far away from USA and easy to pass..im not sayin i will run away to save my ass, but it could be considerable for last man standings in wars.. also mexico may bring new style of drugdeal runs with its 2500$ coke prices :) Just ppl have to take the risks (during the drugdeal and while tryin to pass the borderline, losin their guns, long lastin sentences ) if they want to make more profits..

Report Post Tip

I don't think they did tend to flee to Mexico City, I assume they took refuge in other areas that were Mafia controlled or at least influenced. This was why I said Sicily being a more likely location as they would at least be protected there.

If you can find evidence that prominent mobsters in the 1930s fled to Mexico City, then I will stop doubting this from a historical point of view, but I doubt you can. From a game point of view, we need less money not more so offering a potentially massive profit margin on drugs wouldn't be in the best interest of the game.

lol i googled ( mafia fled to mexico ) it and look what i ve found Sir Tallien ;

One memorable story Walker worked on for AMW involved the case of Martha Gomez. Gomez was a female serial rapist disguised as a male who sexually assaulted naive, young teenaged girls in the Houston area. Facing a long prison term Gomez skipped bail and fled to Mexico where authorities captured her years later and extradited her back to Texas. She is serving four concurrent 20-year prison terms.

and yea , i must accept that we need less money and huge profits would suck..  :)

Report Post Tip

I hope you can see why that isn't evidence of 1930s mobsters fleeing to Mexico City, without me going into it?
