The Executive Game Started by: Rhydian-Roberts on Nov 26, '07 13:56
*The Rid puffs absent-mindedly on a cigarette.*

I'd like to take this opportunity to announce the formation of the Executive Poker game, to be arranged very shortly at a time mutually acceptable to all registered players.

The buy-in for this game will be 500k and the winner will take home 3.5 million dollars, with the runner up pocketing 1 million dollars. Registration for the game will take place through me on a first come first, served basis.

All paid monies will be registered and guaranteed and once all nine spaces have been taken, a time will be agreed with all registered players. If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact me.

*The Rid shakes hands with a man as an envelope changes hands. The man looks suspiciously like Trauma, a Made guy working out of Chicago under McTavish. The envelope is incredibly fat. As the Rid takes a phone call from the phone booth in front of which he stands, right on the corner, you might correctly surmise that at least two seats at the Executive game have now been filled.*

Ahhh yes The Executive Game. I've always heard this one particular game but have never had the chance to play in it.

Do you have a certain time of when this game will start? My schedule is very busy today.

*The Rid takes an envelope from -Rubik- with a smile and thanks. Despatching it into the dark confines of his silver jacket, the Rid pondered if any of the family heads might perchance get involved....Then he turned quickly as a man approached.*

There is no set time for this game. When all members have paid a convenient time for all will be arranged and the game will happen at this point.

*McHugh clears his throat.*

Could the buy-in money perhaps be kept in a safer location, say your family head, Rhydian? God forbid something should befall you, and our finances lost!

*Sits patiently awaiting an answer.*
Report Post Tip
For you my friend?! Absolutely!

All funds will be deposited with my Boss to take care of in the event of my untimely demise.
Report Post Tip
What would you call a game with a buy in for a mill?
Report Post Tip
*McHugh nods, pleased with the response. He grabs a briefcase from the side of his chair and hands it to Rhydian.*

Should be all there, count it if you must.
Report Post Tip
I must certainly take you at your word my friend. Or your accountant at least. With four places now taken, I do hope no-one is forced to miss out.
Report Post Tip
*The Rid smiles as his good friend Peterpetrelli takes a stroll past the phone booth. The Rid cupped a hand over the speaker and reached out through the booth to accept the offered envelope.*

Peter you are a gent. Five places taken, four to go I believe.

Spud watches Rhydian puffin absent-mindedly on his cigarette, whilst touting for players for his 'Executive Game'

Rid, Rid, Rid... I expect so much more from a talent of your calibre! Surely you know what damage smoking causes to those golden vocal chords of yours? Think of the music! Think of the future! Think of your FANS!

Spud out.
Report Post Tip
Don't Spud out my oval-headed friend! Spud in. There's always a seat for you at my table. Besides, these old things have all the tobacco content of a small yet potent hedge....

*The Rid carefully noted the names of his players so far:

Nov 26, '07 15:19 Your accountant has received payment of $500,000 from PeterPetrelli.

Nov 26, '07 14:39 Your accountant has received payment of $500,000 from MolotovMcHugh.

Nov 26, '07 14:23 Your accountant has received payment of $500,000 from -Rubik.

Nov 26, '07 14:07 Your accountant has received payment of $500,000 from Trauma. *
Report Post Tip
If I had the dough I'd be sauntering my way to the table as we speak. Alas, no vegetables will grace your table this day, well, apart from... I digress.

Take care of your chords, Rhydian, for therein lies your future, and invest in a few fishermen's friends along the way.

I know my potato chip friend...Would you like to accompany me for a drink after Saturdays sing song?

We now have 6 people registered for the big game folks:

Nov 26, '07 16:23 Your accountant has received payment of $500,000 from Oliver_McTavish.

A drink! Us spuds live for our liquids... particularly gravy.

What song have you got planned for Saturday? Camping it up once more? You've been FAR too serious the last few weeks.

*The Rid put down the phone. His tall blonde hair was slicked with sweat but the final numbers were in. All the seats at the executive game were now taken. Now he needed to give RileyFreeman a call to see if the Tribune wanted the inside scoop on some of the top people in the Underworld who had paid up and were going to be there. TheRid scrutinized his list carefully:

Oliver_McTavish is a Consigliere and Boss of Badass Inc.

Trauma is a prominent Capo working under Oliver in Chicago.

-Rubik is a Wise Guy under Oliver, also based in Chicago.

Moretay is a Made Man working under Oliver in Chicago.

PeterPretelli is a Wise Guy and sometime Right hand man to Cthulhu, Boss of The Cult in New York.

Rhydian-Roberts is a Wise Guy from New York working for the Cult.

Webster is a Wise Guy working for Three in Philadelphia.

MolotovMcHugh is a Gooma working under McTavish in Chicago.

PrimoSidone is a Gangster working for Three in Philadelphia.

Nine spaces were filled. Now all the Rid needed was for the nine to get in touch by the phone booth and start talking about the serious business. When to start the game. He waited patiently by the phone for the calls to start coming in, turning to Superspud as he did so.*

"Perhaps then, I can take you out for a pint of gravy. I'll stick to a club soda of course. As for Saturday my dear, that is alas, a secret."
Report Post Tip
*The Rid kept looking nervously over his shoulder, waiting for his players to turn up.
Report Post Tip
*The Rid quickly scribbled down a prior meeting point before the game. A coffeeshop called: High-Rollers. Sticking the address to the door of the phone booth, he went across the road to buy a newspaper and listen to the radio in the store for the baseball results.*
