Primus Inter Pares Started by: Ibarra on Nov 06, '15 23:36

The night sky was almost reaching a close, it was almost early morning as Ibarra landed down back in Chicago after visiting the massive party in Las Vegas, biggest party of the time, feeling a small amount of jetlag he stumbled off the plane in a hurry, already looking up at the sky to estimate the time it was almost about to be. The morning was just starting to rise more and more as it started to get brighter, brighter like that dress that can spark the color in a party at night. Time was just being wasted as Ibarra stood around lounging off at the sky, he made his way back onto the streets after landing back down in Chicago, his shoes clanked across the ground as he marched through and his suit was still looking it's best after the party.  Slashing the black as his shadow started to appear on the ground as the sky illuminates into sunlight, early morning it striked.

Ibarra made his way back to his home, as he started to set the luggage down and the rest of his things, striking into his bathroom as looked himself in the mirror and rubbed his face down, clearly trying to reflect his own self in a memorial time, outside of his apartment was loud conversations around the streets. His ears sparked at the regular noise as he lived on a busy district, returning from being out of the bathroom, he changed his suit as it was saved for another special occasion, just leaving his house and heading back down onto the street, he was casually walking down the sidewalk near an old, creaky alleyway, just hearing the casual drips and creaks from the alleyway where old hobos used to lounge, he got dragged into the alleyway by an unknown stranger. Already feeling the striking metal of the firearm of a 1911, already feeling distressed, the unknown stranger speaks in the coldest voice possible, already hearing his voice strike into his ears.

You're gonna give him everything you have, yeah..? Now, unless you really want to care about your life and your poor morals you're gonna just give me what I need, otherwise we're gonna have a problem and you don't want a problem, not with me, buddy. Not with this crawling down your spine and giving you chills.

The man striked out with a threat. Or so he thought, the only thing Ibarra could hear afterwards is the stranger being shot straight in the stomach, and the groaning and the grip of his suit was lost, before he casually looked behind, keeping a straight eyebrow on him, shaking his head, the individual who shot the robber handed Ibarra a note with a word of location and possible opportunity.

The notes reads; You should be careful around these parts. You want a job and a better place to stay, it can be arranged. Meet me at the local bar around the corner. Lights spark up in the night and has a little logo, keep yourself protected until then. Reading the note, he scanned his eyes back up and down, licking his lips in a greedy manner. He saved the note in his suit's pocket, before walking back home after a stressful situation happened.

Already reaching the point of Dawn; the sky darkened as Ibarra stared out the window, leaving off a tired sigh. He lit a cigarette in his own home, as he let smoke blow out from his mouth, he set out of his house again, being careful of any alleyways where he could be possibly robbed again, not risking the chance he takes a shortcut around to the local bar the note had mentioned earlier. The time accelerated and the sky just darkened itself even more, until it was reaching a dim of sunlight to blackness, he reached the bar after taking the longer way around with his shortcut. He extended his hand out to grab the handle and within pulling the door, the way for him to enter was clear, casually entering inside the bar without trying to catch any attention. Just upon reaching the counter to order a drink, he saw a hand signal come from an unknown individual he has never seen before. Just walking over to the table, he sat down and extended his hand over to shake the individual. Ibarra slouched in the seat, before the individual started to lift his head and speak.

So. You accepted the offer, I assume you didn't get attacked on the way here, regardless. Since you decided to take me up on my offer, I want to give you a job and a shelter, how'd you say? You run stuff with us, we trust you enough we'll get you high up in there, kid. Once in a time offer, I hope you can make your choice now without a hesitation. But, I'll give you some time.. The man casually sipped his double bourbon while staring at Ibarra with a glint in his eye.

Ibarra was getting casually lost, before just speaking out. I accept. with a serious look on his eye, the individual chuckled before nodding, he passed Ibarra a note with a location. Come meet the rest. They'll be happy to see you, kid. It's our special spot where we run things, get my drift? Now, I gotta go. I have business to attend to in other places, I'm a busy guy, this is expected when you reach bigger places in the world, keep yourself protected out here kid. These streets aren't safe, but they haven't been for a long time. I shouldn't be surprised and neither should you, considering you've been out here long enough to understand. The man nodded and patted Ibarra on his right shoulder before leaving out the bar in his own vehicle. The lights glinted up and gave off light in the night as he already was out of sight from the bar.

Ibarra took his leave after leaving a couple of bills on the tabletop to pay for his drink, he left out with his suit as he dusted it off and went back home. Things just got interesting, only to see for the rest of the time. Ibarra had plans for tomorrow after with the new location he was given, he went back home and took a rest for the night.

Shortly,

Ibarra wakes up during the middle of the night, hearing the distant chatter in the dark streets, all which the alleyways are crowded at this time where robberies are possible to take place, he shakes his head with grief, he slides his hand down his face to clear his mind, he looks up towards the moon from the window. He goes into the cabinet close to his bed, taking out a journal. He starts to read down it's contents, pathways and chapters of which Ibarra have written in the chance of being a public book one-day. He reads through which he has already written, two chapters had already been done. Striking in his mind is about heading to the place of operations for the man he had met hours ago in the bar, his heart races slightly thinking of the reactions he might get meeting people he will start to work with.

He goes back to see out the window. Closing his eyes to go into a thinking trance, only rolling back his memory and then re-opening his eyes to see the bright light of the moon reflect on his window as the night sky brightens itself. Hard to believe itself, to where the chapter you just wanna read or the paragraph you forgot to see. I've seen it all, the choice of unrelenting problems or decisions. Is that something I need to decide? Is it something I need to add more into? I don't understand, but soon it may become clear. He pondered about himself, he sat there for the rest of the night watching the night.

Daylight strikes the sky; a new day has arrived; a new path to take.

Ibarra abruptly wakes up from his sleep after being awake for several hours last night. He didn't have much time to stick around in his house and dawdle for long. His time was due to meet the place of operations of the new job he has been offered; which has been accepted with due time. He slides on a suit and pops the hat onto his head, he makes his way out of his house as he shuts the door behind him, removing keys from his pocket as it turns in the lock to lock the door off so anybody cannot be able to enter.

He makes himself appear on the streets while he read the note he received from the individual earlier last night in the bar, with a wonder if he'll meet him again at this place; is something that Ibarra has to figure out for himself. He makes himself past several alleyways as he stares down them in boredom as he makes himself travel to a warehouse just on the small outskirts of town, he looks around before he goes through the entrance to the place itself. Several groups of people are working and having conversations before they have to look at Ibarra entering the door, reaching for their jacket in a haste. Before a man comes from the office and says. Stop! This is our new associate! Show your manners and put it away, now! Back to work, all of you! He shouted, he gave a hand signal to Ibarra to come up towards the office while the rest of the individuals return back to their business.

Ibarra travels up the metal steps up towards the old office. He takes a seat in front of the man who shouted at the people earlier; being the same individual from the bar earlier last night. The stranger finally shows his identity as he starts to conversate. Kid. I run a tight operation, I run the Misfits. We're a tight bunch and are willing to get our hands dirty, you finally know. Now it's you have to keep your mouth shut about anything we do around here or it's gonna be the pacific waves for you, hear? Ibarra nodded along at the man's order, he rubs his palms together.

Now. Since you're still pretty fresh around town, I'll give you some cash to help you out and I'll give you several jobs to work out for me, this is the start of getting your hands dirty in this world, you better get used to it or there's nothing left for you out here. There's a guy that failed to pay up his tax that I put out for him to run his business. The guy normally smokes in the alleyway behind the store so the smell doesn't infest his poor, vital store. You're gonna go and find him and give him a lesson, I want my money. Now get out of here, the store just off a couple blocks from here. It's called The Rancid Lab. Can't miss it, giant logo, small alleyway packed and people come and go.

Ibarra nodded as he got told to leave right afterwards, he left the office as he marched down the stairs leaving the warehouse, he walked off to where the store was located, he cracks his knuckles slightly as he gets ready to put his hands dirty, big risk of getting caught but it's worth the price to pay if he was to go anywhere.

Ibarra arrived at the location where he was supposed to do this extortion mission. He walked to the back of the alleyway only to find the Owner at the right time smoking and looking up at the guy, he put his hat on to cover himself in the darkness. He nabbed the throat of the Owner and slammed his face to the wall and kept him held against the wall so he wasn't able to see Ibarra's face. The owner grunted as he tried to resist, but ended up figuring it out it was worthless.

The owner started to exclaim in over several, threat-like words. Get off me you prick! Once I find out who you are, I'll make sure to have you punished for what you done! Trust me, I can make your life a living hell! Get the hell off me! Ibarra only listened as he started to slam the owner's head into the wall once more. You actually owe somebody some money, you've been cutting back and thought you wouldn't get caught for it, yeah? Now. You're gonna pay it back, like you arranged a deal like you are supposed to. Otherwise, your entire store goes down by the outskirts of tonight. Which means you'll be out of a job and means you just might be of out of a house.

Ibarra's words were serious enough for the Owner to take heed of them, he stopped resisting after a short struggle.Alright, alright! I'll pay! Let me go now! Come on! I'll pay every single last dime to the guy, I swear! Ibarra let him go, only to shoulder charge the owner back into the wall to knock him out. The owner ends up falling asleep like a baby, bleeding down the right side of his face. Ibarra used the time to prompt his escape as he made him way back to the warehouse on the outskirts of town, walking back up to the office to let off his report.

He'll pay now, boss. I made sure of that.

The man was busy looking at the pictures in his office, most containing memories of past children or artwork. Before he walked around the desk to pat Ibarra on the shoulder. Kid. Welcome to the Misfits. Hard core organization running yet, now. Like I said, no talking, or it's with the fishes. You better swear on your life. I'll have more work for you, for now you're just one of the Thugs in question around here, do enough good for me and you might just go farther then you might even dream about, now get outta here, go. The man waved Ibarra off as he walked out of the warehouse with a large smirk on his face.

Ibarra, already walking on his way back home he started to relapse the words the man said back at the office.

"Do enough good for me and you might just go farther then you might even dream about, now get outta here, go."

He wondered as he kept walking down the street, occasionally still staring at the classic conversations that happens in the paper about somebody's death or a situation happened on this current place. Neither of it interested in him; even though for once he would like to get some talk going, seeing if things change or not for once and then seeing if he could bring it somewhere else rather then the same subject over and over.

He whipped out the keys to his house, already reaching the destination and he shoved the key into the keyhole as he turned the lock and barged into his room, bed messed up like always while he never decides to fix it as soon as he gets up from it in the morning, sighing as he shut the door. He placed his coat back on the hangar as he put his hat down back on the cabinet near the door. He takes a deep breath then exhales it all out, his breath surging through his room like a thunderstorm striking the ground. We'll see how it goes from here, we'll see how it goes from here. He talked to himself, on a short occasion, he sat back down on his bed as he stared through the occasional traffic on the street.

Run.. Haha... I got you, idiot.

Ibarra, hearing the faint footsteps in the dark. The reload of a shotgun heard in the background, the shell clashes against the ground in the faint night. The barrel cold with vengeance, boom, straight into the back with no remorse. The shot rang out like a loud bell in the distance, could have this been the end in the future? Just another guy who had to take the risk in order to take his own fate?

Wrong.

Ibarra woke up in the night, breathing heavily as his heart pounded inside his chest. He lays his right hand on his chest starting to calm down, it seemed like it was just yesterday it could've happened but instead it was a random dream, reminding himself of the future occasion.

"Do enough good for me and you might just go farther then you might even dream about, now get outta here, go."

Dream. Farther. Good. Enough. Four specific words rang in his mind, it hit him like a car inside his brain. The only thing that was the last task was for him to wonder if he was gonna make it far enough in the business with enough money to settle down and figure out the past like starting a book all over again. Not only this, but he'd have to be prepared for consequences that come with his actions, just like the choices can change the story, book reference instance. He'll pay now, boss. I made sure of that.

Who knew beating a guy senseless like a brutal savage would cause them to actually think about what they wanna do next before it only screws them in the end? Just another question life has to answer for with actions, actions mean louder then words while words is just a deranged line of hearing that can't be proved correctly without it's next card. Getting up in the middle of the night, Ibarra just set out from his house and actually walked out in the middle of the night when people were barely around, deciding to head back to the warehouse where he had met the previous man from the bar, now associated as the running man in charge of the Misfits. He was there, on occasion, the office, looking at his art like they were bits of his life, just a single action can cause it all to shatter.

Boss. I was wondering if you had anymore work for me to do? I'm pretty eager, just with the right thought.

Shh. Kid, let me ask you something, when you look at each one of these paintings, what does it say to you? Do you think it makes you relive your life in a different way or make you see through what happens in the future. Decisions change the part of all we work for, work, for more opportunities, understand me now?

Tell me your answer later on, come back in the morning. I'll have something for you, something you probably haven't even done yet, go.

Go..
