St. Louis Announcement Started by: RuthlessPig on Oct 16, '09 17:07

After spending most of the day putting up posters for the Godfather's new establishment, it was time for RP to attend the grand opening of said establishment in St. Louis. He had made sure that the Godfather of St. Louis would arrive shortly after himself, it would be rude to keep the Godfather waiting for him, and since RP was the one to make the announcement, it would give him time to do so before the Godfather arrived.

Laclede's Landing, or The Landing as it was called, was located just north of the Eads Bridge on the Mississippi riverfront, and it was there that RP was heading in his car, the location was the destination of choice for dining, entertainment and attractions. And the main attraction as of today would be the Godfather's new establishment located at the foot of Laclede's Landing. RP smiled as he saw her from the street before he parked his car and walked towards the river, where a crowd was gathered and awaiting his arrival.

"Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen." He said with a smile and looked around in the crowd. "For those of you that do not know me, the name is Renzo Panucci, some call me 'Ruthless Pig' for reasons which I cannot divulge, but friends or foes alike either call me Renzo or RP. I've worked with Mr. Pastorelli for quite some time now, and I'm happy to be the one to make this announcement for him."

Renzo turned his head and looked at the beautiful pearly-white riverboat docked behind him and the red ribbon in front of the entrance, he smiled and turned to his guests. "Beautiful isn't she," he said and continued, "her name is Fortuna, and she's the reason you're all here today. The newest, and hopefully best attraction in St. Louis, for within Fortuna, you will find: Riverboat Resort & Casino. A place which you'll find most suitable for your gambling needs, as a new establishment she'll be starting off with the Slots and soon..." Renzo got distracted by the car that just stopped at the parking lot and watched as the Godfather exited the car, "...and soon to join the Slots on the second floor of Fortuna, will be Blackjack and Roulette."

Renzo finished his sentence and nodded towards the Godfather who was now standing amongst the people in the crowd. "Ladies and gentlemen, I believe I have talked enough, and it's time for Mr. Pastorelli to do the honors," he said and pointed to Godfather Ox in the crowd, and as the Godfather came closer, Renzo took out a golden scissor from his inner coat pocket and handed it to him. "Say a few words, cut the ribbon, and let them go home broke." Renzo whispered and chuckled, he then cleared his throat and looked at the crowd. "The grand opening, of Riverboat Resort & Casino. Here to do the honors of cutting the ribbon, Godfather Ox." Renzo said and took a step back from the entrance and looked at the Godfather.

The Ox looked up at the beautiful riverboat with a proud smile on his face. She cost him a pretty penny, but it was already worth it. The boat was a sign of affluence, and Butt Ox wanted everyone to know that he was moving up in the world.

Taking the scissors from his RHM, Ox cut the ribbon and listened to the cheers from the crowd. Once they began to quiet down, the Godfather began to speak...

"Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome aboard the Fortuna! I can guarantee that when you leave, you will feel like you are walking on air. In other words, you will be much lighter. Heh heh heh."

"Expect the second floor to be open within a day. Until then, enjoy the fine service and panoramic scenery of the beautiful Mississippi River."

The Ox steps down and is the first to walk on board the Fortuna, followed by a throng of gamblers looking to make their fortune.

Godfather Butt Ox steps out of his office on the first floor of the Fortuna with a sign under his arm. He finds a suitable place to nail it on the wall and goes to work. After he finishes and steps away, you can see the writing on the new sign...
