| Game Change: Crew invites vrs Sponsor invites | Started by: Squishy on Oct 16, '09 23:23 |

This announcement is being made a little early so that you may take the time to make any necessary changes in your crew procedures for this new game change. Once a crew reaches a size of 25 members, the only way to add new members to your crew under the rank of mademan, is through your sponsors. once again: A crewleader, rhm, lhm is unable to send invites to anyone under the rank of mademan once their HQ reaches the capacity of 25 members. Any new members over the 25 limit will only be able to get invites via sponsors. |

So a 50 man HQ is useless if there are no Made Men? |

If a crew currently had 50 members how youd the crew be affected during this transition? |

"If a crew currently had 50 members how youd the crew be affected during this transition?" I'm not exactly sure what you are asking, but ill take a stab at it. Lets say a crew has 48 members already in a 50 man HQ. There are 2 slots available. However, since it is over the 25 point - those last two slots can be filled in one of two ways 1) CL/RHM/LHM invites a mademan+ into the family 2) One of the mademan+ members in the family that has had the sponsor ability turned on - can invite members. |

You say this announcement is being made early, I was wondering if we could get a definite date on when the system will be altered? Highly enjoy the change by the way |

Lets say a member of the family dies, the RHM.e His next account is going to resume the RHM role. Will he still be considered an associate of the sponsor, if he is promoted to RHM? Also, what will happen if the associate reaches the rank of RHM? Will he then be family as a direct member and allowed to have associates and what not? Also, are there any differences, statistically, for someone to be directly in the family vs through a sponsor? |

When someone is selected as RHM, we can break the associate/sponsor tie and throw them directly in family to reflect this. There is no difference, stats wise, from being in the family versus being under a sponsor. The only difference is really where the taxes get kicked up to. Stats wise... still the same. |

So the taxes get kicked up to the Sponsor, not the Crew Leader? Or is it split? Also, when the Associate reaches the rank of Made Man or higher, does he switch into the family? Or does he stay as an associate? Also, if the Family Boss dies, The associate (at least from what ive seen) still stays as an associate to his sponsor. Will this remain? Or will the Associate then be allowed to make his own decision and so forth? Can one have an associate higher ranked then they are? In time of a war, when a family goes down, and the members are shelter less, how will the higher ranked mafioso join families? |

So lets say that a CL has has 26 members with one made man. A few of the 25 associates are on the fence to earning the button. Should the CL push that button so his crew can compete in the race to pick up members and build up his family, or should he push the button based on the content of the person? Kind of a morality question I guess. |

Also, doesnt this kind of... make the latest change pointless? The only made men and higher being displayed on the sponsors profile. Now all the users will have to do is click on the members to see their associates... I dunno.. so far.. it seems... bad to me =/ |

Pops: The taxes go to the sponsor, not the crew leader. The taxes are dependant on the 'family taxes', but 100% of them go into the sponsors city bank and not to the CL's city bank. It isn't split. An associate (not part of the family) can only be wise guy or lower. Once they recieve their button, they join the 'family' (and show in the family list) and lose their sponsor (with taxes now going to the CL). When a boss dies, the 'sponsors' no longer have the ability to sponsor (as they don't have a CL/family). There were a few glitches on this, but I believe it has been fixed now. So if the CL dies, all sponsor/associate links under them go. A sponsor must be made man or higher and an associate must be wise guy or lower, so an associate will never outrank his sponsor. If a war happens, the higher ranked member (made man or above) can still be invited as 'normal'. The 'associate' requirement for HQ's >25 members is only for members ranked wise guy or below. Jose: That's definatly something for the CL to decide. Personally, I'd always go with the quality over quantity call. If a leader chooses to randomly give out buttons just to gain more members, they'll pay the price for it in the end. As you say, it's very much a subjective question and down to each leader to decide for themselves. |
