Neither of these issues would be solved by a reset. If this is what you meant to say then perhaps that should have been the focus of the thread... not "we should have a reset and get rid of all the leaders". Which, I forgot, you love.

More times I like to kick back and make my money and move at a slower pace and other likes the fast lane and take matters in their own hands. so basically its up to you how far you get in the game. Marietta has been around for a year I think and thats fucking HUGE! On average characters stick around for a month or two. I dont think a reset is proper at all. If you want that spot put in the time and effort homie.  Thats just my thoughts of course.

As for the actual discussion, Gods_Soilder, your reasons for a reset are changing with each post. So, until you can come up with some ACTUAL reasons for a reset, I think you should just stop talking.

My interpretation of what you said above, almost sounded like you wanted to give new people an easy ride to the top. This was simply my interpretation, and my answer reflected thus.

I came here not to talk shit not to say I want to kill the Top people. But just an idea. There has been resets befor and I like the out come of it. It gives the game a new feeling every time. My aplogize for not being clear with many of you. 

I did not come here to insult anyone, just to bring my idea to the table. Anyway, it's a total fallacy that it's the lowrankers that ask or beg for resets. Rank is transitory, especially now when todays gangster is a Capo in 2 weeks. No - the people who beg for resets can always be categorised firmly as the people who have never really achieved anything in the scope of the game, either through lack of effort or lack of talent.

There's also another ridiculous fallacy that a reset makes things fresh and gives new people a chance. This is not really the case after the first few weeks, because after people get their lucky breaks - natural selection sets in. When I look at crewlist, the majority of bolds and italics are in two camps - 'older' skilled and hardworking players who've achieved time and again, 'younger' skilled and hardworking players who will continue to achieve far into the future. The reason we so often see the same faces in positions of leadership is not out of any nepotism or any 'old boys club' authing mentality, it's because regardless of whether you have a reset and introduce 120392103 new features, the same people will continue to be the cream of the crop.

Just from the crewlist - Kendra, Depth, Rhuarc, El_Nino, Lovehand, Tallien, Satanta, Scarin, Rianne, Jono, Premeir, Clause, Sprozza. These were just names I picked at a glance, if I went through it more carefully I'd find more. All people who are influential and high ranked now - and have all been influential and high ranked in times gone by. Is it coincidence that you don't see these people asking for resets? I speak from personal experience when I say (without meaning to be arrogant) that I have enjoyed relative success in most 'eras' we've seen since Evsie dominated proceedings. Sometimes it was harder than others, when incognito was a must,

But the bottom line is with this game; you get out what you put in, and if you put more effort into crying for a reset than you put into actually playing, you will never achieve anything no matter how in your favour the odds are stacked.

A reset is not fair on those who have spent months on their characters. Even though I have only been playing for almost 2 months on this character and I would be angry at a reset. I would be very angry if I reached Godfather or Don and all that work vanished.
