Sliver walks slowly down the street kicking a stone she picked up down the way. Looking up she sees a few gathered listening to someone speak. What about she had no clue. It hadn't been that long since she had come to this land and she observed things through her youth that she wish she hadn't and some things she was glad she had. Suddenly she stopped lost in her thoughts she realized she almost ran into someone.

Child.. The voice rang through her ears. Watch were you are going?

Huh? Sliver looked up at the man that was standing before her. Oh umm. Sorry Sir. She paused for a bit and started to walk away but she felt a hand placed on her shoulder.

You know. Rocks usually aren't the best things to be kicking around. She turned and saw the man holding the rock that she had been toying with.

Yah, just a bit of amusement I guess. She shrugged and reached for the rock that was laying in his hand.

Usually people don't stare down and kick rocks unless they themselves are a bit down? You might want to keep that in mind. He placed the rock in her hand and then lifted her chin up as she was looking down at the rock. Chin up. You know that there's usually no where to go but up around here as long as you work and try hard.

Sliver looked into the mans brown eyes and managed a smile. You know Sir.. Thank you. She grasped the rock in her hand and watched as he turned and walked away. At that point she realized that even if things aren't always going exactly how you might want them only you can change it and her smile widened as she kept her head up and walked down the street towards the place she called home still grasping that one little rock.

Melody who was sitting outside a cafe nearby overhead the conversation and looked on curiously, she saw the young lady's face change and walk away with a happier swag then previously.. Melody thought over those last words and smiled to herself as she kept sipping on her mocha.

Jack Sparrow was leaning up against the wall with a bottle of rum as he hears the man talk to Sliver.
