| Sponsor Suggestion | Started by: Ciaran_Costigan on Oct 30, '09 09:44 |

Hey all, was just thinking about the new sponsor system. Seeing as CL's and RHM / LHM are visible either by being bold or italic, is there a way to know who can Sponsor by denoting a different colour or style to their name? This would help out new members looking for a family. Could also stop the sponsors recruiting anyone they find thats willing, simply because they are not approached by young members due to the name not standing out. |

Perhaps this could only apply whilst you're unsponsored, so as not to ruin the 60 second list for the rest of us? |

There also could be a "locals" of sponsors. A list somewhere that is totally for people who can invite members. It could inclued crews that have less than 25 members too. |

Well, then that list would be used to kill off a Family too easily, I just got my list of people that I want to kill. (If I was in a war) I don't really think this is needed, because a lot of sponsors go looking for Associates. |

It should be people looking for the sponsor not the other way around..i also really dont think it would be easier to kill off a family. Anyone made or above can get sponors if there CL want. |

Meh, most new people don't know about this system, until someone mails them about it. About 50% new guys go IA, the other 25% are confused, and even if they get into a Family, they will get shot for doing something wrong. The last 25% might figure out this game before 48 hours and survive. Odds suck, so like no one is going to get a mail saying "Hey, can you be my sponsor?" or whatever. I never got one so far, but then again I always have max Associates. |

This is the reason why i suggested it. So people do know who to go to. Like they know to ask a CL or RHM for an invite, and they know who the CL's an RHM's etc are by the different name style.. |

I think the way it is, is sufficient. To a new player, if every player in the 60s list is in a certain colour group (ie, we'd have bolds, slanties, grey, and whatever new colour), it means less to them. Whereas currently, the important people stand out. As it is, what's the worst that comes from this? They contact a CL/RH/LH and are directed to someone who can sponsor them? I don't see it as an issue that needs resolving and it will probably only confuse new players who will not have any idea about the distinctions we make. |
