| Downing Duplicity: Sound of the Underground | Started by: Jeremy on Dec 02, '15 21:47 |

My name is Jeremy, and I am a man. I am a man who comes from a well-known bloodline. Those of you reading, would recognise me, I am sure, if I was in my bold suit or speaking here on the Streets.
I'm here because my father, Jeremy, was killed in the first wave against Duplicity.
But I was the wrong man to die. Why? Because I knew what was going down and I was part of it.
You see, the people who knew themselves as the "1% Crew" were comrades of mine, working behind the scenes. I was in Detroit, loyal to Visas, and saw that the only way for us to prosper and grow was with Duplicity gone.
Too many were killed, needlessly, too much disrespect sown.
So the plan was to shoot her BGs, taunt her allies and take direct shots at her. We knew that she'd overreact. CLs preach that they aren't rattled by conspiracies and underground groups, but she knew that this group had support, finance and very, very prominent bloodlines involved.
So, scared as she was, she lashed out. And as we predicted, the backlash happened.
What we didn't plan on was the ferocity of the first wave, the lack of overtures for allies and the total war unleashed.
Visas and some in Detroit could have been allies. Now their children roam these cities wondering why their parents were slain.
That said, we're glad Duplicity is dead.
Our parents were a coalition of oddities - most of them sworn enemies. A strange mixture. Many of us had relatives who battled on these very Streets. But they came together, did what was right and this world is all the better for it. And they did it together.
And the friendships forged in the heat of underground warfare have healed many old enmities.
In closing, I would say this: lessons have been learned by the underground after another successful campaign. |

That is incorrect Jeremy as anyone of the late GodMother Visas's uppers could tell you along with the Assassins of Duplicity and Visas. Visas died because Kimble Psychopath Mibbit Aztec SpikeS will tell you she would never have turned her gun on Duplicity. |

Finnegan, Visas might not have fired at Duplicity, but would have holstered her gun and sat out of it. As would most of her city. |

I would have to disagree I loved Visas, she never did much wrong to me and was a close friend of mine, but everyone knew if Duplicity were to die, Visas had to go as well, to think Visas would have sat it out is a bit crazy, she would have definitely defended Duplicity and took some casualties with them, which is why Visas was killed in the same wave as Duplicity. |

You are correct Eredin Visas would never have just let Duplicity Die Visas owed everything to Duplicity and come hell or highwater she would return fire. |

I've known the Visas bloodline for sometime. I have to say, she was more likely to help Duplicity than sit sidelined. Though seeing her dead and such there's a good probability she would have sat it out. However, her loyalty was marked on her suit. The risk of her taking out numerous leaders, Godfathers and high rankers was too high. Risk was simply higher than reward from what I've seen. I didn't know Duplicity. I was in Chicago for a while and never had the chance to build a relationship with her. I have no opinion on her or what she has done as it was mostly before my time. I did however know Visas. She was a great leader and a good friend. I'm still saddened she was removed, but after all business is business. |

Business is business, but Visas would have been a credit to the newly emerging regime. Talk should have prevailed. |
