Lately, I've been thinking about the lack of interest I have when I roam through the street forums. I usually enjoy a good story but over a period of time it seems like I've been reading the same shit over and over again. I know we can only RP so much when you're dealing with a restricted time zone, but my complaint deals with stories that people pull out of their butt. Reading these redudant imaginative stories leaves a dull taste in my mouth after awhile. 

I believe if people started to incorporate their stories into real events that happened in this game, then it will give their RP threads a unique and interesting style. A style that will stand out from the rest and draw more readers towards them out of interest rather than boredom. These true event RP's don't even have to be completely accurate, because after all, it could be told through a personal interpretation. It's just hard for me to stay interested when I cannot put actual faces to these characters or events -- it feels like I'm reading a comic book or something.

I know their have been RP's like this before, but we rarely see them.

Am I the only one that feels this way? Any thoughts?

The problem with this idea is that alot of what actually happens in game is very secret and isnt usually shared with publicly.

Once upon a time I believe people used do to made ceremonies in the streets. Was a big thing to get made and the whole world saw you get your oath if you were very important. (I was a n00b back then so I could be mistaken.) And there was several amazing Godfather ascension threads written back when the wave of them came through earlier this year. Now most of these are redundant. But I see where you are coming from. I'd love to have proper game related RP's back in the streets.

But as dragon has said it is most of the time things are behind closed door discussions. It's a double edged sword. Hopefully there is an undiscovered middle ground that can open up RP.

Well, there's a bit of a neutral ground we can use.

Use a past story, which events were taken care of and solved, and use that plot, but hide and a few names and bingo, you got yourself the true story open for RP.

Of course, most people do is a robbery or a job that other people will take part in, or a story from their past.

It may be true, it may not be true. That's up for you to choose.
