A slightly tired Rourke emerges from his headquarters and marches to the Streets with a purpose. Tired of the usual soapboxes, milk crates, and general garbage used as platforms for speech, Rourke decides to construct himself a podium worthy of himself - a four mile high one out of BrianRourke's (GRHS) copious flesh. He takes a few days climbing to the top and yells down at the world below:
Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. If you are not familiar with me, my name is Rourke and I am currently running an outfit known as The Burger Kings out of St. Louis. We are a respectable organization and recently we have gone through a bit of down-sizing in order to meet newly-imposed crew size requirements. As a result, Stephen-Grammauta was given permission to set up a subsidiary corporation in town and thus far he has been doing a stellar job in his endeavors. I am proud of his success in the short time he has been under me.
With the dawning of the new day, I have decided that my family deserves a new name to represent our different composition. From this day forward we will no longer be known as The Burger Kings but should instead change ourselves to The Mizzou Monopoly. Our business practices have not changed, but I felt a fresh name would help reflect our changed environment.
Rourke pauses for a brief moment to let the family name sink in.
Now, onto some city business.
I have been around these fair cities for a while and I have seen many good ideas come and go. Both the current and previous Godfathers and Godmothers have served as excellent business leaders and shining examples of ingenuity. I would like to take this time to help resurrect an idea previously popularized by the late ThomasRourke and institute it in St. Louis as a way to help increase the population and improve the city's business economy. I would like to take the time to re-introduce a crewleader business authing system for St. Louis. I will allow anyone to apply for this.
The process will be simple:
1. The prospective candidate will approach me regarding their chosen family name and desire to setup an organization in St. Louis. I would hope they would have received their city Godfather's approval as I will be speaking with them as the next step in the process. I reserve the right to reject applications as they come across my desk, but I promise I will be as open and unbiased as possible.
2. I will contact the applicant's city's Godfather to let them know of their candidate's interest and seek their approval for letting this person set up an organization in St. Louis. If approved, I will continue to contact with the applicant and direct them to the next step in the process. If denied, I will offer the applicant my condolences.
3. I will require each approved applicant to sign a waiver of brief rules and regulations for working in St. Louis. These will not be onerous and WILL include a weekly tribute, but the amount will fully be up to the family head.
4. After I receive a signed waiver, I will return to this Street discussion and announce who has been given permission to setup. It will be up to the newly appointed leader to introduce himself or herself to the rest of you.
Any resulting families working in the city of St. Louis will be responsible for their own tax payments and business negotiations with other cities. I am happy to help guide these newer organizations, but for the most part they will be on their own. As Thomas mentioned ages ago, I will not be here to protect those from the possible dangers of the world, but I will not allow other mafiosos to shoot at them willy-nilly. These men and women will be reflecting upon their own talents and ambitions and I look forward to hopefully introducing some in the near future.
Please feel free to direct any applications to my mailbox. I bid you all good day.
