Michael Venito rushed into the office where his Don sat.

Boss! Boss! He gasped for breathe. The Carlo's...They...They're taking over our rackets. One by one. They already have control over Jimmy's Deli and Anne's Pizzaria.

The young Soldato of the Casso Famiglia explained. Don Casso listened carefully.

Tommy. I want you to round up the hit team. If it's a war Carlo wants,it's a war he'll get. Anyways. Tommy,you and the hit are gonna take back the deli and pizzaria,kill any of their men. I don't give a fuck. Go.

Tommy Ruggiero is a stone-cold killer. Leader of the hit-squad in the Casso famiglia and future underboss.

Of course.

Tommy said,and he left.

Michael. I want you to go tell my brother what you just told me. I will arrange a sit-down with Carlo.

Michael ran into Vito Casso's office and explained everything.

Okay. What was Vinnie's reaction to this Michael? The underboss asked.

He sent Ruggiero and the hit squad to take the rackets back,and he's arranging a sit-down.

Michael explained. The underboss nodded.

In the meantime,Ruggiero and the hitsquad were at the deli.

Jimmy. You disappoint me. Letting them take you over.

Tommy said.

What did you want me to do? Get myself killed?

Tommy sighed.

Where are the attackers?

Tommy asked.

They're in the back room. They're armed! Jimmy explained.

Boys. Load your guns. Tommy said.

The hitsquad consisted of seven members. Trained killers. Tommy Ruggiero,Rico Velasco,Jimmy "Double Chin" Gigante.Vito Barbieri, "Johnny Rockets" Gumbiati, Junior Persico,and Michael "Little Mike" Barcini.

Tommy kicked the backdoor in and the squad began to fire,killing three soldato's,and injuring a Capo of the Carlo Famiglia. Tommy approached the Capo,put his colt .45 to his head and said,

Why is Carlo making such a foolish move like this? I know you know.

The Capo winced in pain and finally started to speak.

We have the Vencetti famiglia's backup in this war. Carlo and Vencetti want to take over the Casso's for more territory. Surely one family couldn't take out Casso,but you guys are no match for two. See you in hell!

BANG! Tommy shot him,dead.

Don Casso,his brother,the underboss,and Tommy Ruggiero sat at the table,waiting for Don Carlo to arrive. After several moments the door opened and three men walked in.

Don Carlo. Casso said. I understand that you and the Vencetti's want to dominate New York and defeat me.

Casso said, No. I want in on the rackets. You control it all! The crime the rings,the police,crooked FBI agents,everybody!

And you couldn't come politely tell me? It's us against the law. We're supposed to be a team. If something is bugging you,you come tell me and I would have let you in,put some feds on the Carlo payroll. You didn't have to take it by force. Carlo stated.

Really? Really Don Casso? If I would have come to you and told you I wanted control over some of the crime rings you would have given me my way? Carlo questioned.

Of course. I don't want a war to break out over this.Crime rings in Litle Italy are under Carlo control from here on out. Casso offered.

Not good enough. Butt in Carlo's RHM as he hopped up and fired three shots into Don Casso.

You fool! Carlo pushed over the chair that the attacker sat in. Who,three seconds later,had six bullets in his skull from Tommy's gun.

Brother! Vito shouted as he went to Don Casso's aid. Don Carlo quickly ran out,and got into his car,and drove off.

He's dead. Vito dropped to his knee's and the tears started pouring down his cheeks.

Don't worry Vito. We'll get them.
