| Min Rank for RHM. | Started by: Jason_X on Nov 10, '09 20:12 |

Lately we have seen a few people complaining about how low ranked members can become RHM. A RHM is obviously the person the CL trusts the most and a RHM is looked upon as being *almost* as important as the boss himself. Now i have no problems it what rank a RHM is as like i said, if the boss has placed his trust in him then thats all that matters. But it did get me thinking about the subject. We have recently seen the introduction of associates and the 'masking' of everyone ranked wise guy and below from a CL's profile. Reason being (i believe this is correct) is because they are below made man, they are not really proven enough to be seen as fully fledged family members. If this is the case then how can it be that someone who is not *family* be given the honour of being RHM? It doesn't really make sense... |

As we have seen in the past the position of RH is easily abused. There have been numerous instances where those the leader thought they could trust betrayed the crew. I don't agree with a minimum rank for these positions at all. What if there's no one Made+ that a) Wants the position b) Is capable of doing all that the position requires c) Is suitable for the position? |

Having a low ranked RHM punishes the leader by having them unable to invite or promote above their own rank. |

I see where is this getting..Being a RHM is becoming the most trustworthy in the eyes of the leader himself amd i can see rank doesnt matter when talking about trust. However, having the limit rank for RHM, lets say Made man. for me is a realistic mafia way, I aint seeing a mere gangster grab a RHM just because his father is great. He should get through the ladder and when the time has come he can take the RHM. After all,its easy to rank up if you are hardworking right? -Puck- |

There is a good part and bad part of this idea. The good one would be that people under made men are less likely to be protected or feared. Therefore they would be easy to kill. The bad part is, what if a consig. who is an RHM dies, and then he gets a new account and joins that family again. Then he would have to wait to become RHM again. |

The problem is that in reality there would never be a RHM who was such a low rank in the family. But yes they need to have a capable RHM or LHM. But if every family just makes the RHM and LHM the same people over and over as they die and their kin come to the family. Then how can anyone else ever be it when they aren't given the chance and they don't get the experience or are even taught how to handle everything that goes along with the position of RHM or LHM. So people would stop complaining if the CL's would give other people the guidance and chance to be RHM or LHM. |

Green_Arrow, please take this reply in the context with which I write it, and not as a snarky snap to your comment. |

I agree with what you say. I just wanted to say that people complain because of what i said. I don't expect to get RHM or LHM unless i have the person's trust. Its just that a lot of people say that nobody else will get it because they won't be able to do everything the positons calls for when they havnt been given the chance. I don't think that people of low rank should not be allowed to get the postition at all. Because they help keep the family running and as long as the family prospers then they deserve the postition. I know the CL wont give just anybody the position. Just that they should try to have other people as well and not just have the person come back and take the postion if somebody else would be compitent enough and trustworthy enough to fill it themselves. |

I don't totally really agree with this idea, Why? very simple, Lets say when your father has a position of lets say a Godfather, CL, RHM or LHM means he is fully trusted by his city and also his fellow mafioso's, so when he died in a war and his son come in these shores with the same family or he has a good background history and a experienced one in handling different tasks, what is the reason that you can't trust his son and put him in the position? That is the reason why there is a low ranking LHM or RHM, The Boss or CL itself doesn't look what rank you are to be able to put you in a trusted position rather than he only choose what he trusted more. |

RH is one of those things where we have to move outside of our ideals and RP ideologies in order to suit functionality in the game. RH is handed out based on nothing but trust, rank is irrelevant. |

Aside from debating the merits of the suggestion, I would like to point out that it is completely possible to RP this idea out as things stand, we do not need another button to make this happen. |

Well, if a player is a very experienced player, then they deserve to be a RHM, lets say that you were in a Godfathers/mothers crew, and there was a big war, and then a new family comes along, then they have deserved the right to become a RHM in the family, because of their bloodline, and how much you trust the person. |
