Reindeers are fresh commodities of the new world. Or they are freak mistakes created by nature to punish the sins of men. Regardless, their mysterious appearance in the world can be a blessing since they bear gifts from another land. Vanbrilliance thought of these things as he arrived in Las Vegas. He'll probably visit the outrageously fascinating casino of @Bender or he'll spend nights hunting these...reindeers.

Will their meat taste good? Van pondered about the question. He massaged his temples as more questions raced in. Are these reindeers allied with Durdens? One thing's for sure though: Reindeers and Durdens are needed in a Mafioso's everyday life.

As he walked in the streets, Vanbrilliance observed the other mobsters shooting down the reindeers. Some of those cute, deceptive creatures sneaked unharmed. Some were placed in sacks, half-beaten--

A reindeer!! 

There it appeared in front of Van. Reindeer, standing on hind legs with a stern gaze. Slowly, methodically, Van reached for his pistol. One quick shot and this bastard's down, Van spoke in his mind. 

"Bye bye!" The reindeer leaped away, lightning fast. Adrenaline rushed in Van's body as he attempted to chase the scoundrel. He fired one, two shots - miss! He tried to focus, waiting for the reindeer to come into a halt. Finally, Van pulled the trigger, hitting the reindeer in the back of its head. It made a last, dying gasp as Van approached to claim the bounty.

"May you have a Merry...Christmas..." The reindeer spoke in between gasps, and died shortly.

"Rest well, my hunted friend." Van grabbed the money pouch. "Your rewards will go to great places. In Blackjack tables, perhaps."

Van dusted his suit and started walking. He continued observing the other Mafiosi, admiring their initiative for the reindeer hunt.
