I always believe in earning your keep... And I am sure that if you asked anybody i have ever worked for they will tell you that i never expected to be handed anything...

My bloodline has proven over and over that we will be respectful men, true mafioso's, and trusted friends. And i can guarantee that my bloodline will prove it a million times before the end of days.

As for those who believe they are something when it was not them but what their ancestors did that was impressive, suck it up, They are dead and you are here... now make something of YOURSELF and be remembered for what YOU did.

Our way of life is founded on nepotism. I would rather place my trust in the sons and daughters of lost acquaintances than some no mark from the street. It is in fact these faceless people who would have to work doubly hard to prove themselves to me. They could be imposters and the like. Even if some fresh faced upstart did manage to impress me initially, who is to say that will continue indefinitely? At least with bloodlines there is a greater verisimilitude that this will not happen. Using the same impressive, fresh faced rookie as an example again, let us assume he maintains his streak of excellence. He is then suddenly shot down. Do I then dismiss his son or daughter? Of course not; they will be embraced fully. This is how our business works and will continue to work.

This is a fair observation. I think that to expect these things is the downfall of many of the fallen leaders of our time. 

If the "big shots" we're speaking of really thought that well of themselves, they'd see that the best way to prove it is to do it the old fashioned way.
