Duke stepped out of his mother's HQ and into the cool New York night. He looked uptowards the Stars, but didn't see much due to the excessive lighting from the city. He pulled out a Cigar and his lighter. He put the cigar into his mouth and flipped open his match book. Lighting the match and then the cigar, he took several inhales in to get it started, and waved out the mach. He scrounged around and found some Dr. Pepper crates to set up a make shift podium. He stepped up onto them, but fell through. He tried to shake the crate off his foot, but had to sit down on the stoop to get it off. Once he had it off, he climbed to the top and waved the people in who were wondering the streets.

"Good evening fine people of New York and the other cities. I have come out here to announce that there is a new Don in the City tonight. It is an honor to finally announce this, and I'm extremely proud of her for achieving this wonderful rank."

Duke stepped to his left, opened the door, and Starshine walked out and waved to the crowd.

Starshine, after crowning her son roundly about the head with her
purse, kissed him and smiled at the people wandering by. Some
people smiled and nodded back but Starshine saw the confused look on
their faces staring at her son. He was still wearing his Superman
jammies compete with cape and a flight helmet with goggles on his head.
The oddest thing about it were the pink bunny slippers peeking out from
the bottom of his pants.



She finally whispered something to him and he dutifully trotted back
inside to change his clothes while party revelers began to arrive at
the HQ. Will was seen hauling in a crate of what seemed to be Dr.
Pepper that jangled cheerfully. As he came closer though most of the
bottles sounded empty and an IOU note slipped out from the box and
fluttered neatly down to Starshine's shiny black heels. The others
arrived in high, and frankly odd fashion and she wondered who had been
in charge of sending out the invites. She suspected it was
Hazelspoon_Flamegoo as he winked at her deviously as he passed. This
wasn't Halloween so why was Ginger wearing bunny ears? Iota arrived
looking like the hunchback of Notre Dame and Lana stepped out of the
cab in full 1800's regalia.  She finally figured this must be a joke when Tony arrived wearing his usual fedora, oxford, vest and tie.  Then she saw he was also wearing fishnets and high heels. 

After recovering from the initial shock, the caterers arrived with the food and drinks.  There was enough Dr. Pepper to drown a pack of elephants in and Will nearly knocked her over in his quest to get to the table first.  As they were drinking a leprechaun lifted his beer and told everyone to quiet down.  Star could barely contain the smile as she saw that it was in fact the Godfather of New York raising his glass in a toast to by far the tortoise of the jungle.

After the toasts and roasts had been made, she lifted up her bottle of Dr. Pepper and said in a watery voice,

"Thank you all so much for this honor.  I am so pleased to have such a great family and be a part of this city.  I couldn't have done it without asking Deimne, Will, CrazyNine, Deimna, and others so many questions.  They showed me the way with only a mild amount of annoyance.  I am truly honored to stand alongside of you."
