Shootout in the Park Started by: McKnighter on Nov 18, '09 23:25

McKnighter dropped the telephone when he heard the news. Someone put a hit out of TBK, and some would be gangsters are taking the offer up. The shootout is going on in the park. McKnighter, safe away in his house, quickly runs upstairs into his bedroom. He reaches his nightstand, where his Colt .45 laid. He snatches it, puts on a coat and hat, and  sprints to his car. He hops in and shove the car key into it's slot. The engine flickers to life at a snap of a wrist. McKnighter shifts into reverse and hauls out of his drive-way. He shifts into drive and hauls ass to the park.

McKnighter mind is racing, "Will I get there in time?" "Is she hurt?" "What if-"

McKnighter slams his head onto the steering wheel, letting a loud horn go off. How could he let her go there alone, he should have sent someone with her...

After what seems like forever, McKnighter pulls up to the park.. He hops out of his car and rushes through the crowd of fleeing citizens. .45 in hand, he finally sees the fire-fight.

TBK was pin down behind a statue, with four gun men firing upon her from across the pond, that was the middle of the park. TBK sat there, not firing. McKnighter's heart raced, telling him to rush to her to find out if she's OK. His killer mind said otherwise. McKnighter crouches, and walks closer to the gun men. All four of them were young, wearing those trashy kid clothes. One of the kids, wearing a bit nicer clothes and seems to tower over the others, was directing the others to flank around the pond to finish the job. McKnighter, now behind the man, raised his gun at the gang leader and squeezed off three rounds. Two bullets him squarely in the chest, the other splashing in the water. The man drops dead, and the shocked gangsters turn around to see more bullets come from behind. They quickly run for cover, firing blindly at their attacker. McKnighter finishes his clip, and slaps another one in. The gang members find cover behind benches and began to try and pin point where the shots came from. McKnighter looks at the playing field. Two men on the left, one on the right. TBK dead center across the pond. Options, attack one side,  hope that he doesn't get flanked. Odds suck.

McKnighter picks the side with one man. He walks around to the right, using trees and lamp posts as cover. The young gangster quickly panics and starts to fire upon McKnighter. "He's out of range," McKnighter thought. The youngster quickly runs out of ammo and goes to reload, and that's when McKnighter pounces. He starts to run at the gangster, closing in for the shot. The gangster's eyes go wide as a bullet from the .45 penetrates his skull, blowing pits and pieces of his brain behind him. He slumps over as his last breath escapes him. McKnighter rolls over to where the body was. The two men on the other, seemed to ran off. McKnighter runs over to the statue, with a bad feeling in his gut.

McKnighter turned the corner, and saw TBK. She smiled weakly, holding her right side. McKnighter was crest-fallen. He knees down and sets his gun beside her.

"My god, what have they done to you."

TBK answers quietly, so soft that McKnighter had to lean in.

"They only got lucky. I didn't bring my gun with me."

McKnighter sighs, she's fine. He gently raises her hand off her wound. A bloody rip and a gash was all the bullet did to
her. He mutters "Lucky it shot the side." He takes off his tie and raps it around her waist to cover the wound. Tying it tenderly, McKnighter helps TBK to her feet, and picks up his gun. She stood for a bit, but started to fall. McKnighter caught her right before she hit the ground. Slipping his gun in his pocket, he swings TBK up on his arms and carried to back to his car. He laid her in the passenger seat and he walked around to drive. As he was pulling out, TBK reaches over into McKnighter's back pocket and grabs his wallet. She smirks as she slowly waves it in the air.

"I touched your butt."

Report Post Tip

I'll have you know, butt touching is highly inappropriate in all social situations. Please take care not to offend anyone please.

Report Post Tip

Wraith tapped his finger impatiently.

"If you are one of those who's going to get offended, why be here? That was a great recount of an incident he had."

Report Post Tip

She does like to touch McKnighters butt, she told me so.  laughing lightly

Enough is enough, this going around criticizing everyone for anything that's not "christian like" is getting old.  You do have the right to your opinion, but how about having respect for everyone else as well.  You want us to change all our cities and this entire world to suit you?  I'll say it plainly "IT AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN".  So climb back on your horse and sing your songs back where you came from.

Report Post Tip
