Crazy Nine was in bed, sound asleep when the phone in his bedroom started ringing, "I Swear to god, If Will is out of Dr. Pepper again I'm going to quit." He muttered to himself as he rolled over to lift the receiver. "What?!" he said, "What do you mean he's dead?" he sat up a bit, and his eyes opened completely. "No, no. I understand. Yes, of course." He hung up the phone and got out of bed, pulling on the clothes from that day.

"Looks like I'm taking over to try to minimize losses," he muttered as he grabbed his car keys and headed to the garage. Once he was in the car he headed to the former HQ and bargained with the landlord, "What? Six hundred thousand? You have to be out of your mind!" he insisted. When the landlord still refused, Nine shoved him up against the brick wall of the headquarters, his forearm shoved against the mans windpipe, "Surely you're not going to argue with the man who could easily end your life." He threatened, pressing harder. "How does two hundred thousand sound, and you can go home to your family tonight?" He negotiated. When the man agreed, Nine pulled his arm off his throat and threw a wad of money at him, "You'll get the rest before sun down." He growled, "Now get out of my sight."

He put his key in the door and started waking up people over the phone. "Awesome, I need you to round up as many of the family as you can and inform them they're welcome to come back to the headquarters. The family, although in shock, is under protection and I'll be the new head." He said to his friend, "Now go!" he nearly yelled, waving the man away. He put his head in his hands, and closed his eyes. "Not what I wanted to be dealing with tonight." He muttered.

He leaned back in his chair and looked at the ceiling, "Hayes.." he said softly before sighing. He stood up and walked to the kitchen to pour himself a cup of coffee. One of the family members walked in.

"Is it true?" Nora asked Crazy Nine as she poured a cup of coffee for herself, "Is he really dead?"

CN just nodded before taking a sip of his coffee. "And instead of mourning one of my mentors and a damn good friend I have to make sure everyone is safe." He glared into his mug, "Life has a twisted sense of what is right and what is wrong." He added. "Because this, this is just damn wrong." He nodded his head at the woman standing there, "Make sure the world knows that anyone who happens to be asleep at the moment, who carries the Knickerbockers name is protected," he instructed him, "are we clear?"
When Nora nodded her head in agreement before picked up the phone to start calling, Crazy Nine wandered back into his new office shutting the door behind him.

Dawn started to show through the window, the light streaking across the office and shining on his face. He sat up slowly and rubbed his eyes before checking his watch. "Well at least there weren't anymore problems last night." He said before pushing to his feet and shoving a hand through his hair. "Oi." He called out into the Headquarters, "Anyone there?" He heard a voice, a familiar one and turned towards the door slowly. "What the hell, was this some sort of joke?" he asked the man standing there.

Will Hayes smiled slowly, "No joke, my friend." He said, "I'll let you know what the hell happened later, right now you and I have a meeting with the Godfather." He told him.

After the meeting Hayes went to his old Headquarters in New York, to gather up family members and answer questions while Crazy Nine, his head still spinning headed to Central park.

He held out his hands to the crowd as he started narrating the previous night's story. "And That's what happened." He told them with a shrug. "The Godfather graciously allowed me to stay set up in New York, and Hayes, Well that man has offered several family members who would like to stay with me, to be allowed to do so while I transfer back his members." He smiled, "It's been a hell of a couple of days, but at least now I can fill you all in on a bit of what went down." He informed the crowd.

"On my way to my new HQ I want to introduce to the crime world my new Family: The Imperial Hawks."

He then turns to shaking hands and receiving hugs and congratulations.

'Nine my old friend, we've been through good times and bad and I can say you truly deserve this. Admittedly yours was not the ideal situation in which to take the reigns of power; though nonetheless I'm sure you and the Wowzer Hawks will do fine things over here in the big apple!

A crazy family indeed, and CrazyNine, yours will go far. I'm delighted to see you in this capacity, having worked beside you in the Knickerbockers, and also how you took up the reins during a very crazy time for New York City. You've shown excellent leadership initiative, and you're a wonderful asset in any family. Your own is now very, very blessed.

I wish you the absolute best, and know you'll excel in that bold suit. It looks quite good on you. Very fitting.

Hmm... The Imperial Hawks? Sounds catchy. I've been with Mr. Nine since the beginning, and I greatly appreciate the chance to work under him. This should be fun.

I will miss the Dr. Pepper festivals, but I suppose I'll get along.

CrazyNine approaches Mux and whispers in his ear something about him and Will Hayes, being as good friends as they are, will always give him VIP passes for himself and several of his most trusted associates to said festivals so not to worry.

CrazyNine we have worked together in some capacity within New York for quite awhile now. I know you are a man of high values and will lead your crew very well. Congratulations on the new responsibily and I look forward to watching you grow.

Congratulations on stepping up! Looking forward in seeing what crazy ideas you may have for your family and the city that they reside in.

Ahhh.  Now that I've had a chance to breath a bit this week, thought I'd come by and give my two cents here. 

I think you know how I feel.  You are very deserving of this honor.  Certainly, I was blessed to have you with me from the start.   You helped me so much, and the city in a confusing time of need. 

It was a pleasure having you here, but it was time for you to go, to grow, and to take on your own family in this amazing city.  You will always be a part of the Knickerbockers, and always a great friend.

And you and your family are always invited to our Dr Pepper festivals.
