A Little Bit of Freedom Started by: Dizzi on Dec 27, '15 23:09

"Dizzi you just need to leave him."

Dizzi sat in a small coffee shop with her best friend Ashley. She had done her best to cover the newest black eye that her dead beat husband had given her. Listening to Ashley speak she knew she hadn't done a good enough job. Sighing as she pushed her now empty cup away from her.

"You know I can't Ash. Where would I go?"

"Well I have a friend that could help you. His name is Scott and he's helped women in your situation before."

"Keep talking."

So Ash told her about Scott and Dizzi went about making the arrangements to meet him without her husband's knowledge. She booked some time for him to help her learn self defense. Once she learned all she could she went about finding someone that could help her out. She wanted to become her husband's worst nightmare when the time was right.

Dizzi spent months learning how to throw knives and in using them in close proximity to an enemy. Equipped with her knowledge of self defense and knives she swore the next time her husband touched them she would be ready.

A few weeks later...

"Dizzi, where are you woman?!" Demanded John.

Dizzi could tell that her husband had arrived home drunk again. She hated when he arrived home like this. Always furious and always loud. This was not the man that Dizzi agreed to marry five years ago. This was the man that man had turned into and she was fed up with it. Fed up with having to cover bruises from her friends and all the crap he put her through.

She listened as he got closer to the room she was sitting in. She fingered the blade in front of her as he approached from behind her. She sat motionless as he stepped even closer.

"Thought I might find you in here. Why didn't you greet me? YOU LAZY GIRL..." As he began yelling Dizzi began to tune him out.

John reached for her pony tail and pulled her head sharply back. Dizzi's hand that held the knife handle went automatically up and into his throat. She closed her eyes as the blood began dripping. John immediately released her hair.

"Bit..."

He never finished the word as he looked at Dizzi. She had moved out of the chair and was now facing him. Her eyes glowed with a hatred he had never thought he would see in his wife's face. This only enraged him further and he went towards her. She stepped forward, allowed him to get close and shoved a longer knife through his heart.

He dropped to the floor and she merely turned and left the room. In a fog she went upstairs and showered. Once in a fresh dress and her hair tied back again, she packed a small suitcase and left.

She made her way from St. Louis to Chicago. The trip took awhile as her only means of travel was to hitchhike or walk as fast as she could. John had taken all their money and hidden it. She had tried plenty of times to try and find the stash to leave once before but she just didn't know where his secret hiding places were. Once in Chicago she got in touch with Ashley.

Ashley had given her directions to look for a guy she knew, Malicious. It took Dizzi some time to reach him, but once she had she got to work in establishing a steady income and keeping a low enough profile that the police would never suspect to look for her in another city.

Report Post Tip

Aislin sat in a small coffee shop “attempting” to sober up, but failing miserably. She stumbled in not too long ago, in search of coffee in hopes that it would somehow stop the headache that was brewing behind her eyes. As Aislin was slowly sipped her coffee, two females entered the coffee shop and sat directly behind her.

She wasn’t listening –well hardly, but she couldn’t help but be sympathetic as the fellow mafiaso began telling her tales of her man. She wanted to shout, you are a woman, a mafia woman. You don’t take shit, but her hangover was in full swing and it was….

None of her business, so she sat there and brewed over her coffee as the two women chatted on. Her heart went out to Dizzi –she heard the name as it was thrown into the conversation.  It wasn’t sad, it was pitying, because Dizzi deserved more, she was worth more and on that thought Aislin tipped the waitress and left.

I sat down at my usual cafe sipping on my coffee and taking a look through the news paper.
todays headline was quite interesting.

"Cupid and the Dead Man"

Apparently, a man was found dead with a long sword right through his heart, missing was his wife.
seemed like the man was abusive and the wife put an end to his life. Cupid alright, Cupid of death.

A sketch of the wife was right below the image of the dead husband. beautiful and young.
why would anyone in their right mind be abusing a wonderful lady like that.
I wished the best for her as I finished up my coffee and left for work.
