It seems that the search engine only searches the name but you should be able to search whos in the city online offline dead alive to make things easier and also rank.

Any complaints?

Seeing who is in your city requires you to train your character and improve the 'info' skill of your character.

Seeing who is online is done via the online list, or via the local list if you have the 'paid toolbar'.

Adding any of these options makes finding certain information too easy. I can't see any roleplay justification for being able to instantly pull up a list of all users ranked 'Boss' and I can't see any gameplay reasons to do it, other than to allow lazy users gain information quickly.

The information is there to be found, it just requires work to find it. I can't see any gameplay or roleplay positives to adding these search options, so don't believe they should be added. It's simply providing valuable information, that users should be willing to work for, at the click of a button.
