The Family Business Started by: Ronin on Jan 03, '16 02:23

Saving people. Hunting things. The family business.

We've recently run across a bit of a problem here in Corktown. I don't know about the rest of you, but I have always been a believer in the third kind. Those from across the veil. Ghosts, ghouls, demons and the like.

I've been experiencing some strange happenings in Detroit lately; flickering lights, scratching noises, cold spots. And after some counsel with my upper structure we have decided to take action against these threats.

I will be authorizing DeanWinchester, the notorious hunter, to start his own operation in Corktown. He is the best man for the job, keeping us safe from these otherworldly forces.

Ronin grins at Dean as he steps forward, his trademark grimace upon his face. He looks determined, ready to take on anything.

I will be sending your close friend Connor with you for the time being, to assist you in getting your outfit off on the right foot. The two of you have been an absolute godsend to my family since joining me after the retirement of Don Duke from Chicago. I am confident you will make not only me, but my partners Spikes and Jake_Ballard proud. I look forward to seeing you grow.

Congratulations, and best of luck to you and your family, "The Devil's Trap."

Audrey stood back while she listened to Ronin's speech, trying to stifle her giggles as he mentioned the weird happenings going around Detroit. She covered her mouth and looked down in an attempt to stop herself. Now was probably not the best time to tell her boss that she'd been fucking with him for weeks. Quite frankly, Ronin was a tyrant. In an effort to dish out some payback after he recently made her clean the headquarters, she'd planned her revenge. She went through great lengths every time she knew he'd settled down with a horror movie, tapping and scratching on the walls in other rooms before running out or ducking under a bed when he came to check, playing with the breakers in an attempt to make the lights suddenly go on and off. She'd almost been caught a couple times when his girlish screams caused her to giggle in delight.

A perk of her mischief was watching Dean and Connor get themselves worked up about ghosts. She'd sit back and laugh as they went tromping around their HQ, looking ever ready to bust some bad... things. It was kind of adorable the way they teamed up and searched the building back to back, armed with the strangest weapons. Audrey couldn't fault them though, at least they were hard workers.

She snapped out of her thoughts as Ronin finished his speech. Stepping forward, she poured herself a drink and raised it towards Dean and Connor. "Congratulations guys," she said, smiling. "May you continue to save us from all the monsters in the world. I wish you both the best, you two have always been incredibly helpful, and I'm glad to see you get this opportunity. Continue to make Detroit proud- I know you wil. Cheers!"

As Ronin held his speech, Bobby had to noticed the usual "symptoms" of ghosts, demons, vampires and what not. So he was glad someone finally decided to do something about it.

While he was not directly part of "The Devil's Trap" he would always be there to look out for Dean, years have passed and what once was an annoying little child has now turned into an annoying adult, Dean was always known for being cocky when Bobby and Dean used to hunt together.

But he still cared deeply for him. He cleared his throat, took a sip of his pocket whiskey and said.

"I am really proud to see how far you have made it today Dean, I wish you nothing but the best of luck, I am sure you will need it with those black eyes running around and what not. If you ever need any help hunting them down, you know where to find me."

Bobby shooked Deans hand and then left as fast as he arrived.

Frank-Gallagher was frolicking through Detroit with a better buzz on than usual.  Awwww fuck.  Who are we kidding?! Frank is piss drunk in a sorry state on the Detroit streets.  It must have been the stronger Canadian beer which was so close and plentiful.

Frank listens to the auth speech intently.  He takes a sip of his milk of the gods out of his flask and promptly pukes in the middle of the street and shits his pants.  He falls backwards and caves into some poor unsuspecting soul behind him.  He gets up and raises his flask in the air...

"Dean!!  My father...  Your father.... They knew each other I'm told and it always wound up with one guy belligerently drunk and the other shaking his head..."

Dean shakes his head at Frank and Frank can't help but feel a little bit of nostalgia.

"Congratulations my friend!!  Your bloodline is well known for it's class and any mobster would be lucky to be housed in your little gang of ghost fighters!!!"

Frank staggers off wildly shooting his pistol off in the air as a gathering of police officer take note and start following him...

Jack heard word that Dean Winchester had been given permission to set up his own operations here on Detroit. Ronin obviously thought the guy was capable, and that was enough for Jack.

"Congratulations, Dean." Said Jack as he shook the mans hand. He really meant it, as he had always liked Dean. He was a real stand up kind of guy.

Napping purrs in delight.

Meowing softly, Napping stretches before spinning in a circle and finding a comfortable sleeping position.

Dean stood there with his signature smile while fellow mobsters walked up to him and congratulated him. After the majority of them had spoken, he had a few words of his own.

"Thank you, everyone. Thank you for the support, for the kind words, and for the well wishes. It's truly appreciated. As for Ronin, I owe you the biggest thank you of all. You've taken risks on me, given me chances, and helped me tremendously along the way. I'll do my best to make you and this city's fellow leaders proud. To Detroit!"

Connor couldn't help but smile as he stood slightly behind Dean and watched intently as the speech and following congratulations took place.

He clapped a large hand on Dean's shoulder before leaning in and quietly speaking into his ear.

A most deserved day my friend. I'll see you back at HQ to begin the tasks ahead of us.

With that he leaned back, and smiled toward the group of; Ronin, AudreyParker, Tesla, and SpikeS, before turning around and heading off to work.

George shakes hands with Dean and offers over a nicely wrapped box of Cubans as a thoughtful gift.

Even though I am new to the family I know the efforts it takes in becoming a leadership figure in this life of organized crime. I hope my gift is fitting and useful once you get settled inside your new headquarters.

enjoy your new found role, best of luck.

Standing at the side while Ronin held his speech he noticed the proud look on Ronin's face as he announced and presented Dean. It was good see Corktown grow and therefore Detroit.

"Congratulation Dean, im sure we'll see each other enough the coming period."

After the speach ConnorMcDavid smiled at him and few others, Tesla replied:

"Good luck to you too Connor"
