Planning a racket Started by: JackFranco on Jan 04, '16 01:05

"Well, Detroit ain't what it used to be is it boys?" Jack said as he pulled out a pack of smokes from his pocket. He'd not been in the city long, but he'd already been making a few connections and earning a reputation.

Jack Franco had come from Manhatten, New York City, and he didn't exactly know many people in Detroit. But there was Dean Winchester who had made him feel right at home. He'd given him a place to sleep, bought him some new suits and got him started in life. Jack would one day repay him for that, but taking a bullet for Dean would have to do for now.

They were all sat at a table outside of MacLaren's pub, drinking some whiskey and smoking some cigarettes. Planning a racket wasn't always easy. But listening to Dean doing it was like art. The guy knew exactly what needed to be done, and when it needed to be done by. He was a magician in the field of criminal activity. But more so, the gent was a businessman... Here to make money, just like Jack was. Maybe that was the reason that Jack decided to start doing work for Dean in Detroit.

"So, how are we going to do this thing boss? I know that I'm the new guy around this city, but you know I got the smarts to make us all rich guys." Said Jack as he lit up a cigarette. Taking a healthy inhale from the cigarette, Jack leaned towards Dean. He didn't exactly know what it was that Dean wanted the fellas to be doing, but once he knew then he could plan the whole thing himself. He'd be giving a large cut to Dean anyway, so the money never bothered him too much.

"You fill me in what the racket actually is, and I'll make the arrangements. You can count on me, boss."

Dean was in deep thought, planning out the new racket in his head before he informed everyone. He wanted to have every little detail ready so he would leave nothing out. His imagination often took him on some wild trips; from daydreams about Lisa to nightmares about Ben's head being chewed off.  As he snapped out of it and finished imagining it all, he slid his chair back a few feet and stood up to stretch. He forgot how tired planning out a racket made him, but it was all part of his new operation in Corktown. He couldn't just sit back anymore; he had a duty to his new family.

"Alright, we have a pretty simple task here. We need to get the mayor on our payroll. He's been causing havoc to our drug runners, setting up police checkpoints on their routes and confiscating our payloads. We can't run a successful operation with this guy thinking he owns us, so we need to send him a little message and sway him to give us what we need. Then we'll talk about setting up some real rackets."

Dean paused to catch his breath. He reached into his jacket and pulled out a pack of cigarettes, slipping one out and lighting it in one swift motion. He gently placed it between his lips and took a puff. He looked around the room at the faces that have gathered. Not very many people, but plenty to get the job done. He turned his attention to JackFranco and put out his cigarette.

"Well Jack, give me some ideas. What do you see as the best option to move forward with this operation?"

"The best bet for this little racket, would be bribery. Blackmail, that sort of thing eh?" Replied Jack with evil intentions. Jack was normally the guy who got his kind of thing done as he always knew what the best ways to blackmail were. He once caught a Captain cheating on his wife with another man, so he blackmailed the guy out of a hundred thousand bucks.

"What do we know about this fella eh? He's a politician, so what does that tell you, Dean?" Asked Jack as he took a drink from his glass. Jack was nearly half pissed by now, but he was normally better at planning blackmail when he was drunk. Perhaps he should drink some more.
