Basically the title speaks for it self i have been thinking all day
about this, it would be nice to read the story's of great player
feats/achievements seek inspiration.

By having a hall of fame where a high ranking player passes that
achieved all they wished, it would tell the story of the rise to power,
wars survived, time lived other accomplishments, this will inspire many
to achieve what others have and more, give the dead recognition as they
much deserve.

Also be interesting read on the past.

it will be a great addition if ever this will be implemented!

I have always been in favor of a hall of fame for the fallen leaders of MR.

Most hall of fames on games just have the person's name in a list, however, I think if you listed what they did, it would make it more significant. 

I believe for someone that has put their time into an account, reached CL or GF and did amazing things, they should be honored.

I hope I am not disrespecting anyone, I am just trying to see this from an objective point of view.

Not knocking the idea, but seeing how normally a hall of fame celebrates the best of the best what would one have to do to be in the half of fame. If can't be just because one made CL they are in the hall of fame. It is too easy for that now. Early MR and .org it may have made sense to include those who made CL or Don as it was a harder feat to reach back then. Also another issue with that is not many people can even name more than 5 CLs that were alive about 8 months ago, not because the CL was not good but rather because they may not have done anything memorable.

To make hall of fame now, you would believe you have to had a long running account and have changed some aspect of game play. A few people come to mind who would definitely make it into the hall of fame for having a year long account and changing the game, but even the accomplishment of having a year long account is not the hardest thing now (not trying to take away from the accomplishment), if you surround yourself with the right people, and the factor that there are less wars, means people are less likely to be killed thus living longer.

I just believe there should be more requirements to making the hall of fame than life span and wars survived. It should be more of a thing where what they have done makes them an automatic nomination for hall of fame and then get the whole user base to vote anonymously on it at least that way there is a wider spectrum and allows everyone to judge.

E.g. GF A, has lived for 1 year, has gone into numerous wars, has more or less the complete respect of everyone. They are put up for nomination for the user base to vote on, depending on how many votes GF A gets, will determine if they go up into the hall of fame or not.

Yes of course there is more, eg-implementing a change and reinforcing it, eg- Marritta is prime example of Hall of Fame Martial she has changed many aspects. Or a CL who implements a change tests the outline of the proposal in there own crew, then proceeds to the streets other CL's adopt the proposal having it work, thus changing how things are run to make the family run how they wish.

I belive that to be Hall of Fame Martial, thus it is to recognize achievement as many deserve eg- Premier,ThomasRourke many more

This could easily be RP'd in the streets or accomplished through user input in the OOC forums- if you've a desire to see a hall of fame why not put it together yourself?

Could but, soon those threads are deleted then what? if there was page for this then there feats lay for the test of time not to be forgotten with the amount of work out in to a character of you earn t this prestigious title, i believe there work should be reconized in a hall of fame.

For anyone having doubts on what a true legend is, http://mafiareturns.com/comm/thread/77847. If this feature was actually implemented, Marietta would be the creme of the crop when it comes to legendary status.

Having the vast majority of people in agreement on who should be inducted(and, in my opinion, the admins should have a fair say as well,) it would ensure that only those who are truly  worthy of the title get in.

I'd like to add one thing to this. People who are in the hall of fame should not have their accounts deleted. Five months from now, let's say Marietta is in the hall of Fame. A new person comes on, also named Marietta. She goes around acting like an idiot, yapping her mouth off, cursing people out, and stealing and shooting at random people. Would you want someone like that to have the same name as our dearest leaders?

All crew leaders of recent history(I don't know exactly how far back) are stored in the database forever, unless manually deleted/removed by a coder. So for this instance, it would be impossible for that to happen.

Though, I do agree with you. If this gets implemented, it would be a superb idea to ensure their names are forever locked into the database.
