My Rise to Crime Started by: Szatiglio on Jan 05, '16 17:25

In 1929 I graduated from James Madison High School with an accomplished loan shark business bringing in hundreds of dollars each week. After leaving James Madison High School I continued my loan sharking business and by 1931 caught the attention of The Hell Cooperative crime family and in particular Asylum, who was a very accomplished racketeer. Asylum saw the potential in having me work for him. He told me I could make even more money with his business if I came to work for The Hell Cooperative’s. I accepted and Pyro and I immediately set up our own loan sharking business. Once that was running, the we branched out and formed a crew that specialized in car theft. My crew would become known as the Szatiglio crew and the Illammo crew and included HarveyDent, Incision, Crystalize, and Gangrene.

As my illegal business grew, I developed into a legitimate businessman. I joined the Brooklyn Credit Union as a member of the board of directors and used my position to launder money for Sinfest who had a healthy income from dealing in drugs. Before long, I had several loan sharking businesses running from the credit union and was making hundreds of thousands each year. In 1932 I committed my first murder. Me and Pyro were silent partners in a Truck Depot. The proprietor, Bruce Watkins was arrested by the police and I believed he would fold under pressure and talk to the police. Once he was released on bail awaiting trial, I summoned him to a meeting at a local diner, and then shot him to death in a nearby alley.

After the Watkins murder, me and my crew began committing mafia sanctioned hits. The Szatiglio crew would lure their targets to the Hell’s Kitchen Club where we would kill them, bleed them dry, and then cut them into pieces to be disposed of. The target would be lured into the back of the club at which point someone, usually me, would shoot them and quickly wrap a towel around their head to prevent blood loss. Then another of my crew would stab the person in the heart to lessen the flow of blood from their head. After letting the body bleed in the bathtub, we would cut the body into pieces and drop it in several locations.

In 1933 I officially became a member of The Hell Cooperative Family. The current boss of the family, Sinfest reluctantly agreed to “open the books” for me after I proved my importance with the now folded The Scarletto Syndicate. We killed all rats and snitches and they would be found in the trunk of their cars shot several times. One of the snitches body had been found frozen into rigor mortis and the cold January temperatures had kept it rigidly in place, with one hand defensively over the face. His black leather jacket was wrapped around his head like a turban and his torso was frozen to the spare tire. A bullet hole went right through his now-solid hand, and an examination later indicated an execution-style killing, with a bullet hole behind each ear. In all, the man had been shot seven times and he lay in a pool of frozen blood. In the back seat was a wire that apparently had been attached to a recorder, but the recorder was gone.

People would be “whacked” or eliminated based on mere suspicion and innuendo, so if someone wanted to usurp another’s business operations, he had only to spread the rumor that the target man was either an informant or “talking subversive,” as in threatening to undermine the boss. People got whacked for lesser crimes. We enforced these crimes!!
