HQ Pricing Started by: Dillon on Jan 05, '16 18:36

I'd find this hard to believe that it's gone unmentioned, but the HQ prices are absolutely ridiculous. I'm not sure where these numbers came from but they are, again, ridiculous.

40 Members $750,000 $13,000,000 -
20 Members $750,000 $4,500,000 -
15 Members $750,000 $2,250,000 -
10 Members $750,000 $500,000 -
5 Members $750,000 $250,000

-

From 5 to 10 members the price stays the same, though god forbid I'd like to add another 5 rooms to my hq I'm suppose to pay an extra $1,750,000.... In what universe is that logical, but wait, it gets even more Tom Fucklary, If I'd like to add another 5 rooms in addition to the 5 more I just bought, I'm to dish out $2,250,000. Anyone seeing a problem with these figures? Anyone, Bueller ..... Bueller.

So let's continue, we're at a 20 member HQ, having paid 4M more than an HQ half the size, and we now want to double our size, yet again. Logic dictates we'd be spending double the money, if not a tad less because one would figure we'd get some kind of break since we're buying more and more. I highly doubt that only works with my neighborhood drug dealer, but let's pretend that's the case, it should still be double the price, not more. It is though, but how much more? Wait for it.... wait for it... $8,500,000 more, nearly triple the hq half it's size.

So what's my point exactly, well thanks for asking Dillon. My point is even these out for god sake. Either lower the prices for the bigger hqs to match how absurdly cheap the 5&10 man are, or raise those fuckers up to match the prices of the larger size hq's.

Report Post Tip

I find the prices fair overall. The smaller HQs take into account that you are a "new" leader just staking his place in the world with a small ragtag group of friends. As you prosper and your finances allow you to grow, you upgrade a bit and your family becomes a little more polished. As you grow in size, your ability to earn money from your larger family increases and your tastes in the finer things also grows. As your family gets bigger, the appetite for more earnings becomes a bigger carrot and the prices of the HQs reflect the status of the family.

I can see where LaPaglia is coming from, however I think on the whole I agree with this idea. Personally, I'd prefer to see the lower-end HQ's come up in price - but only enough to "scale" it better with the higher end ones.

I've never been a crew leader so my input might be quite biased BUT.
From a logical point of view.....

The high-end price seems logical since you have a tax system and a Ranking system(where people pay/donate for promotional purpose) to collect money.

And I do have to agree with Henri on increasing the lower-end HQ's price to scale with the higher-end prices.
I think we all understand that not ANYONE can become a CL.

A CL position is given when you prove a certain amount of dedication and devotion to the MR community.

I would be quite sad if a new CL could not even afford to offer up $4.5mil for 20 member family.
