The year was 1932. It was a very sinister time to be alive, for many reasons. One of those reasons being the mobs rising to power. There were currently 8 major cities that had rose to power, and each of those cities were infamous for a number of reasons. One of those cities were a little more infamous than the others, and the city in question was Philadelphia. That was the other reason that it was a very sinister time to be alive. The people of America believed it to be haunted by demonic beings. This was only a rumor, but that is to be the whole course of this chilling experience. It's all about The Devil's Trap, and this is their story.

The night was growing old, and the air was a little chilly. It was 3 in the morning, and there wasn't a soul out in the streets. Rain was falling lightly from the sky, and all was quiet. Deep within the city, there was a small building that contained a bar inside that was the second home to a group of people. These people were part of a criminal organisation known as The Devil's Trap. They usually dealt in murder, extortion, robbery, and kidnapping, but tonight they had all gathered together to discuss another purpose.

The scent of cigars and whiskey could be smelt throughout the room that everyone had met up in. Dean was standing next to the large fireplace, that was lit and roaring aloud, with a glass of bourbon in one hand and his arm resting on the mantelpiece of the fireplace. He was in deep thought, wondering how he could manage to get some fellow from the neighboring organizations. Raiden was sitting on an armchair near the window, staring out into the darkness, as if hoping to see something that he knew would never come. Snowball was busy pouring himself a new glass of whiskey, while JackFranco was looking in the mirror, fixing his hair.

Dean had a thought. He wasn't sure if it would work, but anything was worth a try at this point. He remained in silent thought as Adorkable walked back into the room. She had just been using the restroom, and was getting a little intoxicated. JackFranco finished doing his hair, and walked over near Dean by the fireplace. He picked up his glass of whiskey from the table, drained the contents, and slammed it back down on the table. He seemed to be a little frustrated. He had shouted at Dean, something about not wanting to wait around anymore. Dean had heard enough. He was sick of Jack being too hot headed.

"That's enough, Jack. Shut your pie hole before I shove a pie in it!"

Dean had shouted back at Jack, and he almost dropped his glass as he did so. He brushed his hair back, then placed the glass down on the mantelpiece, and straightened himself up. He walked over to JackFranco and placed a hand on his shoulder. He was very fond of Jack, but thought that he was becoming a little too much of a liability with his anger problems. The guy certainly had his issues, but family is family, and he couldn't just get rid of him. Raiden stood up, went over to Jack and slapped him in the face. He told him to calm down, and that a plan was being put into place.

"That's right, Raiden, but please sit back down."

Raiden did as he was told, and Dean moved back over to the fireplace. Jack had spoke back up again. He mentioned that Dean had not fully told them all about what had happened that night. Dean agreed in his head, he did owe them all an explanation as to what the fuck was going on. He told them all to sit down, and he would explain everything.

"Okay, so here goes. It was 4 weeks ago. I was down the road with a hooker in one of those alleyways. It was like 2 in the morning, and nobody was about. It was kind of misty so it was hard to see. We had just about finished when I heard this blood curdling screech which sounded like a woman in writhing pain."

"I was little freaked out, I won't lie. I told the hooker to stay where she was, and I followed the screeching. It was coming from the end of an alleyway, which led to a dead end. Problem was the mist was too thick for me to see anything, or anyone. I figured when I reached the end I'd probably find some thug stabbing an old lady for her purse. But what I found was even more disturbing."

"I found nothing. There wasn't anything there, and all went completely silent. Suddenly, the screeching came from behind me, this time from the other end of the alleyway. I spun around and ran back to the other end of the alleyway. The hooker had vanished, and I figured she had ran home or to fuck some other guy, and once I had reached the other end of the alleyway, there was yet again... Nothing."

"I heard the screeching one more time coming from the same place it came from the first time I heard it. I was nearly shitting myself, and I didn't want to go back down there, but I was also curious. In the end, my curiosity got the better of me and I found myself slowly walking back down. I reached the end and found the hooker lying in a pool of her own blood, on the ground. She was completely mauled all over, as if some kind of bear had gotten to her and ripped her apart."

"But the problem I was having trouble figuring out was how the fuck the hooker managed to get past me, and end up dead without me seeing it happen. It just didn't make sense. I wanted to find out what was going on, but I also didn't want to get eaten by a bear, so I decided to leave. I got about halfway through the alleyway when I finally saw it. It looked like an old woman, floating in mid air. Her eyes were extremely black, and they were bleeding heavily. Her clothing resembled that of a female pilgrim, and she was... Laughing at me, maniacally."

Dean paused for a moment, needing to compose himself. Snowball got up and poured Dean a whiskey. He passed it to him, and Dean took a large gulp from it. He breathed in, then drained the rest of it. He was able to continue with his story.

"As you can imagine, I was frightened. I didn't know if I was imagining it, or if it was real, but I decided to run. I ran as fast as my legs would carry me, and you guessed it right. The thing fucking followed me! It was floating in mid air behind me, laughing as she chased me. I had managed to get to my front door, and I got inside. I went over to the window and closed the curtains. After about an hour, I opened them a little to look out, and to my horror I saw her floating right outside my window, staring in at me. She was no longer laughing, but had an evil, sinister look upon her face. I slammed the curtains shut and passed out on the floor."

"That was all I remembered about that night. You can call me fucking crazy all you want, but that's what happened. You all know that some strange shit has been happening across the city for some weeks now, and people are getting scared. What I want to get done is this... I want to find this apparition, and I want us to kill it if we can. Anyone got any ideas?"

Dean scanned the room to read the expressions on everyone's faces. The candles and the fire suddenly blew out in the room, leaving it pitch black. Everyone began shifting around looking for some matches to get them lit again. The room went extremely cold just as Raiden managed to find some matches, and he lit the nearest candles to him, so that you could just about make out what was in the room. He turned to look at Dean, and he was horrified by what he saw. The demonic creature that Dean had described was floating behind him, with her hands reaching out to grab Dean. She was grinning menacingly, and it had come back to get him!

Raiden smiled broadly as he stared into the glowing red eyes of the apparition standing before him. Should he be frightened? Was his dear friend, and leader, in danger? Possibly. Instead, he smiled. He adjusted his bandanna that was stretched tightly across his right eye, and reached towards his trusted sword that he kept by his side at all times. However, just as quickly as he unsheathed it, the apparition was gone again.

Everybody in the room had seen it, and the fright was quite visible on their faces. But Raiden, he had seen this tale before. Years ago, in Latvia, when he was a tender age of 8 years old. Some would say that 8 years old is too young for a child to be thrust into the midst of a war, but war is all that he had ever known. His mind raced back to the vivid memory of dashing through the battlefields, the much taller, much bigger, soldiers surrounding him unable to get a good grasp on him, as he sliced through them one by one. If he could do it then, he could do it now. Apparition? Figment of his imagination? No matter, if it bleeds, it's blood would be shed.

Alright, so, now we've all seen what Dean has seen. The most important thing for everyone will be to remain calm. I know it seems difficult, given what just transpired, but just relax. We'll figure out a way through this.

Raiden shut his one good eye momentarily, thinking through his war strategies.

We only know of the one location, and now here, but it would appear that it has some kind of link with Dean. I know it's not the most ideal situation, but the best way to kill this thing would have to be springing a trap with Dean as the bait, right?

He glanced over at Dean to check the expression on his face, before turning to everyone else to gauge their reaction.
