Quick and to the point. 

Almost all the mafasio's here are smuggling drugs through the
airport to other cities, why not create a chance that you can be
arrested for transporting drugs?  Before taking off you are caught by
the drugs dogs and placed in the jail at which you were departing from?

Seems pretty realistic to me anhoo.
