Greetings!

As you may not know our lovely Gods have put Ventrilo which allows us to speak to one another via speech rather than IRC typing. This is paid for by them for us to use, and some do use it. However I was wondering if you had ideas to boost usage.

I want to run a competition over Ventrilo, whereby speech is used in the competitions instead of typing. We could have it RP or non-RP. So suggestions would be greatly appreciated, As so far I have only been able to use my über creative genius mind to come up with a few ideas.

A quiz, but then maybe we have had enough of those ?

-And-

A Story competition with the twist it has to be speech, tell the story by voice with points to dramatic effect etc.

-Finally-

You are given an opening paragraph and they have to finish it there and then, person who chokes or goes OOC is out (but can still listen) as the others continue the story as they take their turn.

As well as the idea, please suggest if you can how it would be done. Rules etc, bear in mind there could be 20+ people's voices.

Not quite sure what you're looking for as far as 'rules' go. Just get a list of people interested for the contest, arrange an order, have an 'MC' for the event. Person 1 goes. Person 2 follows. Person 3 goes and so on. Once the contest is done, everyone votes on their favorite. Presto, winner.

If people get unruly, just have an oper present to mute those who join the room and aren't slated to speak/perform at that time.
