| The Cosa Nostra Times - Update | Started by: Ronin on Jan 23, '16 02:23 |

The newstands had been rather gloomy of late, if you were a mafioso. It had been nearly two months since the last issue of the Cosa Nostra Times was released. A lot had happened in the world, and Ronin was hard pressed to find time to write. He had a couple of pals who might help, of course. But it always was a struggle getting everything together in a timely manner. He nearly sold the business off, solely because he just didn't have the time to run it properly anymore. But when rumor of this started to circulate, there was an outpouring of support and eagerness to see the paper continue. Ronin's mailbox was flooded with people wishing he not shut down the paper, and offering their services to him if need be. And so, he had decided to continue, with the aide of some of his contacts throughout the underworld. He was making a short appearance on the streets today, just to pin up a notice and say a few words. "Good evening everyone. I beg your forgiveness for my lack of punctuality on the Times. I know many of you enjoy it and that you do not wish to see it discontinued. Alas, I have been very busy the past few weeks, and have not been able to write a single word for the January Issue. I know I had promised more than a few people I would have one out by mid January. Again, my apologies. In an effort to keep the paper going, I will be taking a bit of a back seat to some other fine young writers, and assuming more of an editor's role. I will still write of course, but I won't have the time or energy to do the bulk of it like I did before. I have some exciting new writers on the team I think you will enjoy reading. The main reason I am out here is to tell everyone that we are indeed still in business. If your kin wrote for us, or asked about writing for us, I will need a new application sent to my offices. The same goes if you had an ad set up for the paper - I lost all of my info in the move from Detroit to Philadelphia. We are going to do our best to have an issue out by the first of February, but I make no promises. Most of our writers have other responsibilities that must come first. We certainly have a lot of info to cover since our last issue." He tacked a notice reiterating what he had said to the side of a warehouse and walked off down an alley. |
