Drugs and Blood Started by: Anna on Jan 25, '16 20:08

If there was one thing Anna hated, it was the Federal Bearau of Narcotics. Their agents, the little bastards, ran about the cities that good, honest mobsters ran, and tried to interrupt the vital flows of narcotics to the people of America. And, beyond that, the smug bastards were so easy to corrupt too. A stack of bills here, the odd tip there, a word in the right ear, and the average FBN agent would eat from the palm of your hand. It was sickening to Anna, to have to hand over a cut of an honest days work to a greasy palmed little agent, who set out into the world to disrupt the work that she and her people did.

What was Philadelphia without a steady flow of narcotics? What, for that matter, was any city? Did anybody REALLY want mafiosai that weren't stoned come high day or holiday? Anna could only imagine the carnage if her boys didn't have their green. And who wanted a city mayor who DIDN'T get coked off his tits every Friday and Saturday with some of the cities shadier characters?

For every arrest made against the family, Anna would cut the pay of those on her payroll. When the arrests got too frequent, she'd "deal" with the agents who weren't quite pulling their weight. One of the FBN agent son her payroll, a young lad from one of the Irish districts, was known as Sean McGuinness. Between his pretty young wife and, the two kids he had and the third on the way, Sean was generally desperate to stretch his paycheck any way possible to keep a roof over the families head and could be relied upon to keep the family out of too much trouble. So when Sean came to her full of a panic that the FBN agent that oversaw Philadelphia's operations, Georgie Mitchell, was planning a series of raids against her family, Anna knew it had to be taken seriously.

Sighing, she collared a young thug who had been looking to impress the family enough to perhaps get his foot in the door and had him round up her family from across Philadelphia to meet and figure out what could be done.

Heading to the meeting room in the Mano di Morte headquarters, a room with a long, polished oak table and surrounded by 40 chairs, she took a seat in the semi darkness and waited.

Claude went to his closet, picking out a good coat and a warm shirt before heading out to the local bar. Before he went out the door, he heard the telephone ring off. He took it, hearing about the meeting that was to take place. He changed into more fitting attire and then finally went out on his way to the new destination. Arriving by cab, he went inside. After getting acquainted with the bodyguards, he walked over to the meeting room. He looked around for a bit, noticing the long table along with lone Anna. He quietly took a seat, joining the wait.

Saedrissa had been a little busy trying to get herself acquainted with local dealers so she could contribute best to the families finances when she spotted a lad motioning for her. She recognized him and slid away from the latest dealer she was schmoozing for the best price.

"Something wrong?" She asked as she drew closer.

Shaking his head, the lad was quick to reply, "Meeting."

Nodding, Saedrissa walked off towards the headquarters. She zipped her jacket against the wind as she hurried along the busy streets. It took her about fifteen minutes to get within sight of the building. Soon she was through the doors and heading towards the meeting room.

Entering the room she spotted Anna and smiled as she shrugged out of her jacket. Finding a chair she draped the jacket on the back slid into it. Saedrissa noticed she was one of the first to enter the meeting room and sat back to wait for the rest.

Vic finally gets home after a terrible day at work. It seemed like everything was going wrong, seemed one of those days... At home, sitting on the couch, Vic search for your friends, those twenty that are inside the pack of cigarettes, take one of them and relax listening to music.

Someone knocks on your door, an unknown figure, it just says "They're calling you, and you know who... And please buy a phone, I'm not your errand boy."

Taking a deep breath and a little shaky, Vic put your best outfit, which is no big deal and go toward the avenue, where it is easier to find a taxi.

Upon entering the headquarters, Vic clears his throat, and tries to act out for a few seconds what he intends to speak when entering the meeting room. Upon entering, he is faced with an absolute silence and feel that is not the best time to talk. Seeing Anna looking at him, Vic nods and sits on one of the chairs.

The plane ride from Chicago to Philadelphia was a bumpy one, filled with a number of turbulences. When Kratos finally landed, he was dead tired as for most of the 6 hours ride, he couldn't get a wink of sleep. Just when he thought he could head back to his apartment and get some rest, a young thug, who he recognised and just recently joined the family, came up to him and passed him a note. The young man gave Kratos a nod and walked off, somewhat hurriedly. Kratos looked at the note and changed pace immediately. He was suddenly full of life and energy. He knew that when the head called for a meeting, something serious was going to happen.

Kratos got on a cab and ordered the driver to the location that was scribed messily on the note. It was Mano di Morte's HQ. A thousand thoughts filled Kratos' mind, but he pushed them all out and tried to get some rest before he reached his destination.

The cab came to a halt after what seemed like a few minutes. Kratos paid the driver and got off. He briskly walked up the steps to the large oak doors and entered HQ. Kratos made sure that he was looking sharp and with a final check of his attire on a mirror, he entered the meeting room. He was glad that he was early, judging by the attendance. He looked at Anna and gave a slight bow, before acknowledging the rest of the crew with a nod. Kratos took a seat beside VIc and joined the wait.

Tharlee had finally just settled at home, about to sit down with a bottle of liqueur when the sound of something being slipped through her mail slot drew her attention. Getting up the young-ish looking woman went to pick up the note, reading over it carefully.

'Meeting'

There was nothing else written on the note and the hand writing was familiar to her and she knew it to be one of the few contacts that knew where to find her. Getting dressed in mostly dark clothing, the woman worked her way through back alleys, shadowed sidewalks and deserted pathways to make it to the headquarters. Her entrance was silent, her eyes sharp as she took in the other faces around her. Brown eyes locking on Anna, sitting at the head of the table, as she just simple nodded before shifting to go stand in on the the corners, leaning her back against it, arms crossed as she watched everyone who had already sat down. She wasn't a fan of being where she could be seen, thus why most of her work was done at night.
