I fail to see why there is always bitching when a protection order goes up they dont hamper your day to day business in the streets here.

Nor effect people in any way and there a good way to see who actuarially pays attention to the streets or there crew leader.

Richard-Nixon, allow me to explain our way of life for you, and anybody else who has issues comprehending the very nature of our business. 

I am a Don, I run a crew, I have earned my stripes in this world and worked my ass off for it. As a Don crew leader, I offer my associates and members protection. That is a basic principle of our thing. Now, should I offer this protection for free? I see you have a Body guard or two there, tell me.. Does he protect you for free? You will find that the principle is very much the same. The current leaders, myself included have been through numerous wars, we have seen people that we consider friends, gunned down. We have battled through all of this and still come out on the other side, I'm fairly sure we've earned our position here. 

As for 'taking your money without a word of thanks', that may be something you need to discuss with your crewleader. If  you don't like the way it's done, then perhaps YOU should have chosen more carefully. Personally I make a point of thanking my associates and members, but what do I know? 

If you do not like the way our thing is being run, then perhaps you're not cut out for a life of organized crime.

As a completely new guy to this thing of ours, i can understand all points of views here. only because i can`t judge, only view things for face value. Mr. Nixion, you are putting different issues together at once an trying to make an arguement. this post was simply about protection orders. not how crews are run, ect. Actually, you jumped to someone elses defense, when a GODFATHER simply addressed "them" ONLY. that can be view as being very disrespectful. to mind another mans business, an upperstructure at that. not to mention, you made the man Jake addressed look very small, because you jumped to his defense. Mr. Nixion, we have strict rules on disrespect...  since i`ve been here i`ve seen it upheld so many times.  my sincere advice to you, coming from a new player to a new player. We can have a voice, just have to know when to use it. ;)

1. Yeah Alex fucking do as you are told and don't you fucking dare have an opinion!

I can't help but agree with some of the things that Nixon is saying. I don't agree with anyone coming to the streets and telling someone to 'watch their fucking attitude' while having the exact same of attitude themselves. It's hypocritical and just straight disrespectful, to come from a Godfather, I'm amazed really.

You don't have to show everyone respect, some people really don't deserve it and never will. However, you don't have to be disrespectful to people either. Not having respect for someone and being disrespectful to them are two completely different things. Nobody needs to be belittled by someone for speaking their mind in the streets, unless they are being downright disrespectful to someone in particular, in which case go at them. For example, if somebody called me out personally and attacked me personally in any way, you can be sure I'm gonna come back at them and be a lot more cutting than they are going to be capable of.

That being said, how Godfathers want to act is really completely up to them. At the end of the day, they can say whatever they want, after all, who's going to stop them? You? Me? Hardly. Each Godfather runs things differently to the next, they can run their cities and their words whichever way they want.

As for protection orders, they regularly do work. Only people that need to die will actually die after one has been posted. Maybe they shouldn't be posted when Bosses who are considered a threat are still alive, yes that can be avoided, but someone making a twat out of themselves and talking shit to Crewleaders or whatever the other one died for, you can't predict. It's just one of those things.

It never ceases to amaze me how much idle wittering these announcements cause. We all know the drill; and if you like it, you move on, if you don't, pull your head out of your arse and do something about it. 

I'm sick of seeing big words come from little people. Regardless of how much truth, vindication or frustration they are fueled by, they'll never be taken seriously while they come from some lower class punk who's been off the boat for five days.

I do not believe you were wacked for having opinions. Nor do i believe you were wacked at all as you clearly stand before us. Perhaps your father was murdered for having an opinion. Yet an opinion is often used as an excuse as to why someone was shot down. I am not out here trying to upset you or anyone else as i desire to help you understand that this life we lead is not a regular one. 

We clearly can see that an opinion will create frustration between two or more people. Your opinion was not the reason this frustration came about. I wish to help you understand the motives better. 

First we must understand that this is not a democracy. The life you live is not all freedom and speech. If the leaders of what we live in wish to swear or put us down, they can do that. There is no set rules or morals of how they should truly conduct their lives towards you or anyone else. I hope this does not sound hurtful. Once we understand this we can move to the second point.

That said, the second point is that rank and order have to be followed in this life. If you are below a rank you have, in RoryRourkes words, have not earned your stripes. This means that you are not at the same level. You have not done what he has done or any of the other leaders. So there is a certain respect that has to be paid here. As a son to a father, a grandson to their grandparent. 

Finally i wish to say that your opinion was not the reason with which you were shot as it was the way you chose to share it old sport. Conducting yourself out of rank and speaking ill towards a person with the highest prestige in this life is not the way things are or ever have been done. There are traditions that we follow. One of the many traditions is to respect him who is higher. Though this has fallen more and more by the wayside i do hope you learn from this experience as i think it would be a horrible loss to lose your lineage due to an unfortunate misunderstanding. 

We must remember that this life old sport is filled with Pickpockets and murderers, jail breakers and prostitutes. To speak as though we were all refined and gentleman to one another is wanted and needed but at the same very time, you and i, are called to remember our place in society. I really hope this helps you and any other person who may be struggling with this thought.

Bella noticed a man was Jailed for a life's worth once given his freedom he took his own life to earn respect of the others he seemed to have shamed this man was very honorable and noble his bloodline has always been well known and kind. First and foremost. Rest in peace Don Eredin.  You are worthy of respect as a man who places family above all else with your decision. Personally speaking, if I was on your family, I would say lets fight the ones who were planning your fate.  

As a former native of Chicago, I did not get notification to any protection order on this mans family. So much for the great RoryRourke putting the weight of Chicago behind this protection order.
