Sometimes it's good to complain and debate! | Started by: Dr_Jekyll on Dec 16, '09 21:44 |
Dr_Jekyll steps from around the corner and in the middle of the streets. Staring hard at the crowd he sighs. Sometimes it's good to vent or discuss a complaint or debate you He smiles a bit. Now you might be thinking I am trying to start something here and A side note. Dr_Jekyll pauses. Respect is something that should also be kept. You earned it and worked hard for it so don't lose it here. So without further waiting let the debates begin!! |

Dr_Jekyll listens to both of the young ladies I can see where it can being annoying but some of us have it better than others. Now, I don't agree with going to random people and asking for money. I have always found that disrespectful in my eyes. Dr_Jekyll steps back and waits for the next person to vent a bit |

She nodded her head, listening to the people speaking. Fingers tapping her leg she impatiently waited her turn. "Part of my issue is, when its people who don't want anything to do with me other than take me for my money." She snorted back laughter, "And then get indignant when I refuse to share!" |

You know Nora. Banshee stops and looks at her. I can completely relate to that one. Nothing is worse then just feeling like you are being used for you money, and then when you have had enough they just pissed off and angry at you. |

Dr_Jekyll laughs at Banshee and Nora Only a few people get away with that one. A simple way to avoid that one is just bank your money. My ancestors use to debate on and on about pickpocketing. It's gray subject area..plain and simple. |

Dr. Jekyll, Do you ever feel as if you are only a number? One day your actions will most likely echo throughout eternity, but considering people change with time and the who, what, where, how, and why will all be as equally irrelevant as the long gone when; that echo will fall on deaf ears. Is there really a purpose for ranting anymore? From what I do know of the ways of old, there was once a time where debate was taken seriously as were the consequences of those discussions. Essentially not only did people listen and participate, but they also acted on great ideas put forth by the community at large. Individual participation in family included far more than it seems to these days. I don't mean to generalize as I am sure there are many who pride themselves on their banners of war, family, and heraldry, but alas is this not the same reverberant cycle we have seen these past few years? What is good debate and hopeful promises without the required action to see them have a lasting effect? A famous British artist once said that "The best minds are often silent to the world." There are a few individuals who have great ideas on how to shape the present and future, but I know that my voice as well as theirs has fallen on deaf ears. People choose decadence, stagnation, and a static way of life in substitution for genius innovations and courageous actions to implement them. So I charge you sir, with a question and a mission to prove to me and anyone else who once sought out the great debate for great action... that the future will see both hand in hand once more. My dear Dr. Jekyll, it is not the debate that deters great men from making history, but constant disappointment in the lack of action; for all men of philosophy would not be so if they were not first, men with the heart of action. Until then, I will continue to walk in the shadows of a bygone past as this decadence takes the very heart of me... |

BlackStacks : My ancestors use tell me stories like this and they just shrugged at it. I wouldn't say its disrespect but I will say it's messed up. I mean after all you just helped them gain more money which they didn't have. I don't know why someone would do that but just bank your money quick enough so when they try they walk away with a empty wallet. EzioMedici : Do I feel like a number? Heavens NO! My friend everyday when I wake I look out my window and look at the the people roaming outside my door. My ancestors use to feel like this but they finally realized that everything they do effects them-self and their family. Is there a purpose for ranting? It truly depends on the situation. If I disagree on something then I will speak my mind but in a respectful way. What is a good debate and hopeful promises without the required action to see them have long lasting effects? My friend every good debate with three sides, you will have democratic part, your republican party, and the people how chose neither sides. The people who chose not to speak shouldn't dare say anything if they dislike what is going because they had a chance to say something but did not chose to do so. Hopeful promises that will have long lasting effects must require some type of action. If you do nothing then your hopeful promise that you spoke will just become a dream. Mr EzioMedici, you are truly a man a wisdom. |

Loans....I think loans are ok but not for starting out. Earn your keep at first. Know what its like to start from the bottom. Then later on if you need a loan for, I dont know, a body guard then sure (hint hint) lol, go on ahead. I for one have never asked for a loan and all though Im not the best player in the game I know the value of independance. I feel I will be stronger in the end.......Now, who wants to loan me some money for a body guard? Hahahaha, just kidding. If I want a loan I will ask my family with respect and agree to the terms. |

Dr_Jekyll listens to RaphieBeans I personally don't see a problem giving someone a loan in my family if they are new to the shore or if they are returning. I believe if you trust this person then it should be no problem. If they come and ask they want money for a bodyguard I'm gonna laugh their face. |

A loan is'nt a problem... it is merely the band-aid for the problem. Well, in some cases not all. If the loan is for a bodyguard, than that is a whole different matter. But if it is for starting out, i dont think a loan should really be needed. What a fresh of the boater needs is proper guidance. A loan wont do the job, i prefer finding out what the problem is and help the member solve it with a definate solution. But if the terms of the loan are respected, than i dont see how this could be a problem. Proper guidance... save's lives. |
