As you walk into the dinner you notice the long bar stretched across the room with wood all along the walls. The booths a white leather seated and glass tables the counter has a red color to it. It was a more long-gated then it was wide. You had the option of taking a booth or sitting up at the bar where you could see into the back room where the kitchen was. It was all open and there was a bell on top the door also one where the cook was to let the waitresses know the food was ready. This new dinner was quick, they made the fastest food in all of Detroit. They had something that many of the other stores didn't have. The glasses were always cold.. The cook walked to the front of the dinner and began. Also over to the right hand side there was a fire place with a perfect fire going to keep the customers warm. Also you notice that the waitresses are the prettiest little things you could find in Detroit.
"Welcome everyone my name is Mandalore and I am the owner, make sure to give your order my beautiful waitresses. So enjoy everyone." He walked back into the kitchen and began to cook the some food.
The menu was on the table as you pick it up it reads: Spaghetti $2 Pasta $1.50 Pizza by the slice .75 cents Cheeseburgers $1 Hamburger $.50 Any specialities you'd like $.05-$2 |

“Drat.” Mari mumbled as she glanced at the time once again knowing she was gonna miss her meeting. Her natural charm disarmed any intended target into thinking she was completely harmless, nothing but a sweet innocent young lady. She cursed very unladylike under her breath before speaking up to scold the driver. “Could you go any slower? What are you waiting on?” The driver gave a careless shrug of his broad shoulder turning his focus back to the road crawling with pedestrians crossing back and forth. Mari was impatient today, and with good reason. She couldn’t let this contact slip through her fingers. She tossed a couple of bills on the seat before announcing she was getting out. Mari shrugged and pushed her way through the crowded sidewalks wondering what was going on today. Some big sale close by or what? She noticed up ahead what looked like a cozy little family, The mother was scolding the two little children, as the father had a dreadful look on his face as if embarrassed to be in public causing a scene. Mari gingerly bumped into the man as she walked by. “Pardon me.” “No Miss, I beg your pardon. I do apologize.” Mari nodded with a polite smile before continuing on towards the diner. She smirked a bit to herself as she patted the newly acquired wallet in her coat pocket. As soon as she entered the diner, she realized how famished she was. Mari was always busy these days it seemed, but she never had forgotten to eat regularly. Today she was a little extra stressed hoping to impress her new family. Spotting a booth at the back, Mari walked in haste to claim it before it was taken. She unbuttoned her coat, revealing one of her favorite black Chanel suits. Mari folded the coat gently in the seat before sliding with graceful movements into the booth. She was thankful the waitress was prompt and attentive. Mari glanced over the menu quickly knowing anything will suffice at the moment. “What can I get for you ma’am?” “Oh let me see.” Mari slid a delicate finger down over the menu stopping at the pizza. “For starters I would like three slices of pizza with meat and vegetables, and extra cheese please.” “Yes ma’am…..” Mari continued on down the menu until she spotted the burgers. “I also would like a cheeseburger with a side of fries, and if possible a chocolate shake.” The waitress looked a bit baffled at the amount of food Mari had just ordered, but Mari shrugged her shoulder then smiled. “I have a fast metabolism, plus I’m starving, so is the any chance I can get the pizza as soon as possible.” “Yes ma’am.” The waitress scurried off towards the kitchen as Mari glanced around the diner. The diner had a lot of character, and the lunch crowd wasn’t overly loud with the chattering all around the room. Mari leaned back in her seat admiring the white leather seats then sighed as she glanced at the time again. |

Mandalore was working in the back when the order came in. Handing a suitcase with some money in it to a man who handed him another suitcase. Mandalore and the gentleman shook hands and he walked out the back door. He proceeded to the safe and opened it up placing the items from the suitcase into the safe. Closing the safe and locking it up he makes his way out of his back office. Placing his suit coat on the rack and grabbing and apron. Rolling up his sleeves he washes his hands and goes to help the other cook.
“Heya boss, can you grab those pizza slices outta’ da’ oven?” His cook said quickly.
“Yea no problem buddy.” Mandalore grabbed the pizza slices placing them on plates. Making his way to the grill and tossing a patty on the grill. Placing a both top and bottom of the bun on the grill to toast it a little.
“Take over the making the burger I am gonna run this over to the customer.” The cook nodded and took over for Mandalore.
Mandalore brought out the three slices of pizza and a shake. Smiling at her as he set them down on the table, as he looked up to her he was set back a moment. She looked so familiar.

Mari couldn’t help the giggle that escaped her pouty lips. She shook her head slowly as Mandalore placed the plate of pizza on the table. His curious yet stare of familiarity just made Mari’s day. She made a soft ‘tsk tsk’ sound as amused hazel eyes looked to his. “Grazie for the pizza. Originally I am not from around ‘these parts’.” When she was a young girl, her favorite aunt would bring her cousins for playdates, and she grew close to one cousin all her childhood up until her parents moved to the Americas. Mari tried to write letters as she became older, but she was never sure the letters arrived. She asked her parents many times of her uncle and aunt, as they too were planning to move here to the Americas, for more money and a better life. Earlier in the year, Mari’s mother had informed her of the good news about her uncle, aunt and cousins. She was in New York at the time living with her parents, but recently moved to Detroit to begin her own life. “I grew up in Palermo, Sicily, along with many relatives. Mia madre told me to look up mio cugino preferito when I arrived in Detroit, but alas it has taken me some time until now to find him.” Mari brushed a handful of curls off her shoulder as her mouth twitched in amusement, watching his face as it dawned on him who she was. |

Realizing it was is old cousin he moved and gave her a big hug. Smiling from ear to ear he gives her a kiss on each cheek. "It has been so long. How have you been? Why would your Mamma tell you to come look me up? Doesn't she know the type of work I am in?" |

Whilst his back was turned dealing with another customer, Spike slipped into the Cantina and lifted the wireless from behind the bar. Starting to sneak out the back he spotted a crate of whiskey lying on the floor and picked that up as well. Well Spike's need was obviously greater than this fella's, otherwise he wouldn't have left a bloody good wireless sitting around and his whiskey where anyone could steel it. Dropping $20 on the counter he sneaked out the back door and fled into the night.... |

Caroline slips in, dodging bullets from the street outside and sliding into a booth far from the door. War always did make her hungry... "I'll have the pasta, please, with a glass of your house red." After a glance out the window, she amends her order. "Actually, make it a scotch on the rocks. Double..." |

Undaunted, Caroline smiled. She'd seen much stranger things in the past few days. "Have a seat, stranger. Are you here to dine, or are you trying to avoid the shitstorm outside?" |
