The two glanced at one another nervously. Despite their best efforts not to, the arms with which they held their guns had begun to shake from holding them up for so long.

"So let me get this straight. You two want me to authorize you both to start your own family, or you'll?"

"We... we'll shoot you sir; right between the eyes" the taller of the two replied, his shaky voice giving away the emptiness of his threat.

The Godfather sighed.

"Alright, I'm getting too old to be dealing with this kind of thing, follow me and I'll sign the papers to declare the auth and you two

can be on your way".

As he said this the two young men holding guns smiled to one another excitedly. They had finally done it. All it had taken was

threatening a Godfathers life for two unsponsored thugs to be granted auth of their OWN family.

The Godfather walked down a long hallway. Despite his tired old bones he still held a posture that radiated power. Framed all along the walls was what could only be assumed as old family portraits of his lineage. A few, the two young men noted, seemed to be very poor families. People dressed in what they supposed were their Sunday best yet despite their best efforts to hide their poverty it was still obvious. More frequently however, families wearing tailored suits and dresses, men holding themselves with pride, women with dignity, and children with ambition in their eyes. There was no question that these men and women were part of Cosa Nostra; after all, it takes generations to get to the sacred rank of Godfather.

Finally they arrived at a door on the end of the corridor.

The Godfather stopped, sighed and turned the doorknob.

"Follow me gentlemen", they did as they were told.

The door opened to a dark room, they couldn't see inside, but The Godfather had already entered. They both stepped forward, excitement in their eyes, their guns still drawn.

BANG

Two flashes came from the blackness of the room, and the two thugs both fell to the floor dead, their heads oozing claret and brains. The lights within the room came on and standing either side of The Godfather were two bodyguards, each with a gun drawn pointing at where the two men had previously stood. The Godfather stepped forward and looked down at the bloody mess on the floor.

"Idiota"

Bruiser stands by listening to his friend Michael tell his story of this two fools, and he can't help but chuckle..  Damn Michael, Bruiser says as he puts his hand on his shoulder, some of the crazy people you know!  HAHAHA
 And they really thought they were going to get what they wanted that way!  What did you guys think?  Bruiser looks over to the well dress mobster standing next to him.  You think these two nit wits was playing with a full deck?

They had gotten what they wanted to be dead cause that was a death wish for what I see. I mean to go up to the GF with guns they was dead when that plan came in their heads nobody ever disrespects the GF  in any kind of way an live

As shameful as it is to admit it, but this story is actually about one of my ancestors decades upon decades upon decades ago. The first person of my lineage.

Luckily for my family, we learnt the lesson after that.

What I would like to know is how they were able to get alone with a godfather with weapons and threaten him. It is amazing that they got that far!
