Tony Capazzo Jr. sat in the back of Mano di Morte headquarters. He sat there smoking away on his cigar and for the first time in a while he began to reflect on all that's happened in the last week and a half. It had only been a few days but a lot had happened, a lot had changed in his life. He had been use to the normal routine of civilian life basically going to school, hanging out with friends, studying and the regular things a college student does. It was like being in a hamster wheel, round and round, going nowhere same thing over and over then BOOM just like that one day someone approaches him telling him that his father was killed. Tony finds a diary, heads to Philly, meets Nighthawk and now is part of one of the most prominent families in Philly. The hours he spent going to college were now spent stealing goods to resell. The hours he spent studying were now spent on going to casinos and gambling away with poker, blackjack and roulette. The hours he spent on hanging out with friends were now spent at the Headquarters with his Mano di Morte and Philadelphia family. Family...that word had always escaped Tony. He grew up without ever knowing his mother and of course his father, TonyCapazzo Sr. was always away, he now knew why though. This life wasn't a simple 9 to 5, it was a eat, sleep, piss, shit and breathe 24-7 type of thing. He was more then happy to be a part of something he felt was great, something he felt was genuine. He sat there puffing away at his cigar thinking about how much he had learned in just a few days out on the streets. This was a different life, people lived like kings and queens. You walked into a restaurant and you never had to wait for a table, people knew who you were, they knew who you worked for. In Philadelphia...Don Anna was nothing short of royalty and the fact that people knew you worked for her was like getting a damn key to the city. Everything was opened up for you and everything was red carpet, Tony was beginning more and more to enjoy this life. As he took another puff of his cigar he also realized it wasn't all glitz and glamour. The business wasn't always sunshine. Things happened, people got beat down, robbed and often killed. It was a part of this life, a part Tony became more and more familiar with. At times it would scare him how easily he was able to adapt to things. A simple kill here or robbery there meant nothing to him. Was he ice cold? Had he no heart? Just a bad person? No, it was something more then that, it wasn't personal, it was all for the love of his city and the love of his Don for he knew his success would in turn help the city. Everyone worked together as one and although Philly was in it's rebuilding process Tony hoped that one day it would reach heights that surpassed even those his father lived through. He read about those times and how everything was, there was nothing more that Tony wanted then Philly to flourish above and beyond.
Indeed this all came easily for him, he knew he was his father's son, he had the same blood running through his veins. This was his calling, this was where he was meant to be. With Don Anna and the Philadelphia crew Tony knew his future would be brighter then ever and he too one day may earn his right to "officially" be in the family. It would happen one day but even when it did...Tony would never ever ever forget these days and the journey he took to get there. Reflections is always a good thing. |

Reflections is very much like reminiscing. Thanks Tony for reminding me how reflecting regardless how good, bad or indifferent times have been. Integrity pours herself a drink and does some reflecting herself.
I knew your father very well. He was all for it is "a mans world". Good to see the blood in your veins is not totally his blood unless of course Anna is male. One never knows these days ey? And I surely hope you do not follow his path and disregard anyone you do not know while barking orders as a lower ranked family member and view them as nothing but a speck on the wall.
I hope my thoughts satisfy your longing for attention. And by the way as a Capo one would think you are officially family. After all you are made. Unless your idea of being officially family means authed. Who the hell knows these days and quite frankly I could give a rats ass. I am simply satisfying the crowd and probably more so then you. |

Walking along the Italian market on 9th street shopping for cheeses, I suddenly felt a hand on my shoulder, "Would you like some wine to go with that cheese?" I Turned around and gasped. This man was the spitting image of a man I Once knew. He ushers me to a vacant table. He pulls out my chair and then takes the seat across from me.
"You and I are going to have a talk and set the record straight" The Capazzo men protected and took care of the women in their lives. My father was a man of honor." He reaches in his pocket, pulled out a photo and holds it up. "Now Read the back of the photo."
Mr. Cappazzo, please accept my apology for being the little shit I can be every 28 days. |
