She stood at the train station for what felt like days. In reality it had been a little over two hours of Nora, wrapped in her parka with her mittens, scarf and even the hat with the dorky pompom that her Mom had knitted her, stood waiting. She couldn't feel her toes anymore and long since gave up trying to regain movement in her fingers.

"I'm getting to damn old for this." she muttered to herself before kicking the brick wall behind her, hoping to knock some feeling back into her feet. "The train is just late, thats all. Their still coming." She told herself, giving a little pep talk even while all she wanted was a hot cup of coffee and a few blankets.

"They wouldn't forget Christmas, would they?" She asked herself as she wrapped her arms tighter around her torso and struggled to fight back tears. Her parents disapproved of her new profession and she couldn't say she blamed them, seeing as they were both god fearing people who went to church a few times a week, "The lord doesn't just answer prayers on Sundays!" her mom would scold her when Nora was growing up.

She kicked the wall again, this time with her other foot. "They aren't coming. They found out what I really do for a living, and they aren't coming." She thought to herself before sighing. She turned slowly to leave, secretly hoping that she'd hear the sound of their train coming in. She had climbed about six steps when...

hey, what's up Nora? said Auset hoping to get some kind  of a positive answer,

it's late... then before she could finish,

What? Again? the train is late AGAIN?!! well don't worry about it Nora, it will show up sooner or later.
