Hail The Queen! Started by: TonyCapazzoJr on Feb 01, '16 21:13
It was late but Tony Capazzo Jr wasn't yet ready to go home. He had stopped off at a local bar and had a few whiskey's on the rocks. A slight buzz but nothing to be worried about. He got the itch to play some cards. Tonight's poison would be Poker. Tony remembered hearing some of the boys at Mano Di Morte Headquarters talking about a private game in the area so he figured he'd make a stop there.

Tony waved for the driver and he quickly pulled up to Tony. The instructions were given and Tony was off to play some cards. When he got there he counted his money in the backseat of the car. This was no pocket change. It was $100,000 in cold hard cash. He had worked very hard for this money but he knew his poker skills and knew he could turn this into even more money.

Tony's associate Paulie was off for the night but Tony didn't mind. No one was crazy enough to rob this place. This was a establishment where fellow mafioso met to do some gambling. Anyone stupid enough to do any robbing here would be signing their death warrant from many different families around the country.

Tony smiled as he walked in feeling good. He got to the door and said the necessary code to get in. Once the door opened, to Tony's surprise, there were only 3 other gentleman at the table.

Tony shrugged.

No matter, 3 people, 10 people or 1 person...money was money and Tony accepted it from any and everyone. He took a seat and gave a friendly gesture to the other players. Once Tony sat down his jaw dropped. He first realized this wasn't the normal $2500 and $5000 blinds he was use to. These boys were going $5000 small blinds and $10,000 big blinds. That was shock #1. Shock #2 was Tony realized his $100,000 was baby money at this table. Everyone at the table had 1 million or close to it. Tony thought to himself they might have been laughing at him and the thought of how easy money this would be to take.

Tony took a deep breath and got to work.

In quick time Tony was down $20,000..down to $80,000 toatl. He took a step back and realized based on what the blinds were and what he had on the table he would have to wait for a good hand and try to double up his money so he at least could have breathing room moving forward.

The cards went and went and went...and went. Nothing, luckily Tony managed to win 1 or 2 small pots to still have close to his $80,000. Tony then looked at the dealer, as if telling him mentally 'give me good cards you fuck!' The next cards he was dealt was Jack/Queen of hearts suited. Tony thought to himself, suited connectors. He liked these cards. But was this the right move? Conventionally no, Jack/Queen was not a super strong pocket hand but Tony felt in 4 way why not. So he pushed all in and thought 'let's dance.'

Without hesitation one man to play after Tony instantly called his all in. Tony nodded thinking to himself that he has action. Then, in a stunning move yet another man called him. Tony was floored, this would surely be a disappointment. How could he possibly survive two other players with Jack Queen suited?

The dealer told all three men to show their cards and then there was more pain for Tony. His Jack Queen was up against Ace Six and Ace Nine...Tony was pretty much dominated in this hand. He knew he still had a outside shot, he had live cards and was looking for one of any 6 cards and absolutely NO Aces. The dealer turned the cards over...the flop produced absolutely nothing. The Aces were still boss. Next came 4th street...the turn....and wouldn't you know...Tony HIT THE MIRACLE QUEEN!

Tony wanted to jump out of his chair but he didn't. He remained, calm, cool and composed just like his old man. The river came and it was nothing. Tony had won the hand with a pair of Queens. The pair of ladies had done it for him!

Tony slyly gave a little smirk and picked up his money. What began as a hope, that he would double his money, ended up turning into him tripling his money. When Tony counted his winnings on this one hand alone he realized he had close to a quarter of a million dollars in front of him. Should he stop now? Naw, there was no fun in that. Tony lit up a cigar and thought to himself, 'game on'.

Tony continued to play and play finally winning enough money to properly move around in the game. When it was all said and done, Tony left the joint with close to half a million dollars. He had won over $350,000 to go along with his original $100,000. Tony packed up his money and greeted the other gentleman good night. It was late and he had a meeting in the Mayor's office tomorrow that might turn into a pain in the ass.

For now this was a good night. He would gather some of this cash and give Don Anna her tribute. That was always the right thing to do in this thing of ours. Tony smiled before exiting...looking back at the table one final time...he thought once more about the Queen. Hail the Queen indeed!
