Thank you, Cthulhu, for that wonderful intro. Though you are frequently criticized for not showing it enough, you are a more than capable orator. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Greetings, salutations, and what up. For those of you who have been living on Mars the past month or so (Cthulhu, wave to Mommy!), my name is Tyler Durden. You might recognize me as Cthulu's court jester/occasional RHM. No? Then you might recognize me as the head of Durden Industries, which has brought you such joys as Papa Tyler's Discount Funeral Home and The Whiny Willy Doll. Still nothing? Well, no worries then. You'll know who I am soon enough. You see, thanks to a joint venture from Cthulu Enterprises, McTavish Limited, The Center for the Study of Ronmexicology, The Company, and Durden Industries, we have set up shop in Los Angeles. Ladies, gentlemen, and Oliver McTavish, it is my pleasure to introduce The Durden Juggernaut! For several days now, tensions have run high, and the streets have run red with blood. I don't like to see that. Even if it is my enemies who are dying, the fact that they are dying means that they have threatened me or those I care about. And that is not a good thing. I look forward to a time of peace. Los Angeles has long been a favorite city of my family. Generations ago, we got our start on these coasts here with the legendary Yellowgil. Today, I return to the City of Angels, this time to return it to its once-glorious past. To the rest of the acting Godfathers, I cannot thank you enough. Your support means the world to me. I am eager to work with you to bring peace and stability to this world of ours. Cthulhu, specifically, deserves a mention. You took me in when I was nothing, when I had nary a dollar to my name, had nary a contact in this world, and you gave me a home. And a living. And for that, I will be eternally grateful. This past month serving you has been a joy. May our time working as equals be just as blessed. Now then, let's get on with it. The floor is open for discussion, questions, ass kissing, you name it. Well well well, little Tyler all grown up! Or on a more serious note, I have always been a fan of the way you handle yourself. You are a distinguished individual, one that I have come to respect on many levels. The words of wisdom you have spoken to me on more than one occasion are among some of my favorite to live by to this day. I am more than excited to work with you in the near future, and I know that you will turn Los Angeles into a bright and active city, as it once was. Congratulations and the best of luck! |

Good question, Sal. First off, we need to jump-start the place. The town has been dead ever since the death of Scandia. One of my soldiers has already opened up his own little bar. We hope to see a few more of them, along with other businesses. Overall, though I am looking to make my family, and my city, a great place to be. |

congrats Tyler on this promotion Now if I may I have a question. How do u plan on revitalizing the Industrial part of LA and how about the sports teams in LA how about some new stuff for them and some pretty sweet bars and clubs |

Industrially, Los Angeles has become a wreck. With more influence from organized crime (see, this is where we come in), I see the economy booming. We can re-corrupt the unions, and the local gas stations will need to do much more business with me and my associates taking our share of their profits. As for the bars and clubs, well, we are starting a fairly large collection of mobsters right here in town. As you may know, there is nobody better to start taking over the night scene than La Cosa Nostra. I predict big things for the city. And I don't talk unless I can back it up. |
