| Improvement on Contact Groups | Started by: Albino- on Feb 08, '16 21:14 |

I'm not sure if everyone uses contact groups the same way I do, but I imagine a large amount of people do, so hopefully people would see the use in this suggestion. Personally, I have my contact groups set up as such: Every city has their colour (pretty much suiting the colours given by the game) and they also have the symbol with relates to their city (ie, NY: for New York, DT: for Detroit, etc.) At one point in time, I attempted to set each district a different colour, so not only could I see which City everyone was from - but also which District. However, I soon realised there was nowhere near enough different colour variations that my eyes could easily differentiate from one another, so I scrapped that idea. So here is my suggestion - In the 'symbols' option for the Contact Groups, could we have an abbreviation for each District added? Such as "BB" for Black Bottom, "CT" for Corktown, etc. Or even better, we could be given the option to add our own prefix symbols to our groups? So rather than choosing from a list, you could just type in whatever you want the prefix symbol for that group to be?
Thoughts? |

I think this would be an excellent addition and cannot see as to any negative effects of this. It adds a further dimension to the game and allows you to have greater oversight of what's going on around you. Solid suggestion in my opinion. |

This is a great suggestion. I used to do the same thing with my contacts list and I remember thinking it would have been awesome to have the district labels. So, +1. |

Also can we add more colors so we can differentiate between different crews. As Albino expressed not enough color differential to color code by crew. Thanks for the great suggestion Albino- |

+1 I really like this suggestion, I like to see what proportion of people are online, and with better colours and combinations this would make it much higher quicker and easier to see. |

If you guys want to come up with abbreviations for each district/city combination, we can put this in.
Also, suggest ones for the following alternate LV ones
Center: Glitter Gulch North East: McCarran Field South: The Strip South East: Henderson West: Red Rock |

Thank you, Squishy
CH-TL: DT-DT: LV-TS: LA-DT: NY-BK: PH-OCD:
I'm not sure if "NY-BX" and "NY-BK" will look too alike, so we could have "NY-BNX" for Bronx and "NY-BK" for Brooklyn, so they look less alike, as X and K look similar? |

I'd also be happy with them losing the "PH", "NY", "LV", etc. as I personally have them coloured dependent on city but I thought some people might prefer having both the city and district, hence the City-District: format.
Sorry for double posting. |
